👼 😇 Damn why didn't I come up with that idea even though it wasn't exactly that but close!

I've been talking about people assuming work and rent is all there is in to do as if nothing else needs thinking about or correcting / updating!

Being "Good" is tied to most of the conversations I've failed to get good people to see it's not enough "Good" enough to know there is bad and do nothing about it...

@shane Hi was reading some posts, and seems this particular one was to yourself rather than to someone...

And as to answers, forgive my basic answer but consider standard FTP style storage online, which is native to all basic space and you can bulk upload like it's on your hard disk (because it is!) and allows direct change to names / dir and no messy interface. Any basic client to edit move later (not inside another system where you can't drag folders as easily or quickly)

Drag and drop, done. Love these 70yr old protocols :)

I know you might what for a bit more but the name and even info text file in directory for links is probably enough to let others find it and get this out there.

I did it! My book on the history of the #Atari Jaguar is finished and freely available for download over at archive dot org. It took me a while to get there, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Ramble about Strictly Limited Games 

@Datassette_User This is my kind of writing that feel is needed more often and for people to be able to read and communication (not just customers and sellers either) because I write like this and feel like others see it as 'long' when it has points and validated feelings.

Anyway that's probably too long already. Feel I'm like waiting for the world to evolve in more common casual intellectuals ! (and without going to extreme that way either!)

Ramble about Strictly Limited Games 

If I may give a recommendation to those of you who might be interested: Do not buy from Strictly Limited Games. I ordered Steel Empire Chronicles 1,5 years ago, and it is still not in production. There was one lousy mail regarding this that I almost forgot already. So I asked them to either tell me when this is gonna happen or refund me. They did neither, but at least responded in a timely manner. Now I replied and hope that I'll get a least my money back. Looking over at TrustPilot, I saw that I am not the only one having issues with them. If it wasn't clear that the concept of paying for something you can maybe get in maybe a few months isn't a good one before, now it's pretty evident to me. I had some fun with Limited Run Games before, but at least they always delivered and I didn't wait more than a year. Still, that was already not my cup of tea. But I thought: SLG is a German based company, so this should work out way smoother. Well ... no. The idea has just turned into companies that run on Kickstarters that aren't Kickstarters, basically: Money up front and we'll see what we can do afterwards. This is some late stage capitalism madness 😂. But even if you as a company decide to hang out your customers to dry, at least have the courtesy to communicate! Tell us on where it's at with a game that can't be shipped. And for that - funny side note mentioned in their response to me - I should subscribe to their newsletter, as if it would help me in any way reading new Ford brochures if my ordered vehicle did not arrive as ordered. You get the idea. Too bad, I once liked the idea very much. From now on, if you come my way with anything that includes exchanging money for a ticket on a waiting list basically, I will bid you adieu 😎

🧠 #Psychology and showing your #Mentality and #Mindset is probably the hardest things to do. But most needed. 

It probably seems the riskiest to empty and put it on the table but actually nobody cares or there are too many...

So if people *could* care actually this can open up sharing inside the mindset that can keep some of us together who are dedicated to repairing things (people actually). We're all who need a bit of tuning.

And that's the point. PEOPLE ARE WHAT NEED REPAIR MORE THAN EVER. ⚙️ :xmen:

Parents as dictators / authority / educators / benevolent dictator attachments to children 

@punishmenthurts Kind of a hard balance when the roles of is multiple and has sub-types that are required to use elements of authoritarianism like acting as:

- a (authority),
- a (authority),
- experienced (authority as knowledge),
- etc...

so while there's definite as bad, the lines become blurred or hard to see for what or each sub-type is carrying out. As long as it's not the the clearer "I don't / don't have time for this" type then it can be tricky / all in the mind.

Somehow I like the term and some of that seems to work with and part of giving a lot while knowing best somewhat at the same time as / / and allowing more .

I realise that when teacher don't learn or re-learn with their students (and also allow them to re-create) then that can be authoritarianism in the worse kind - perhaps like today where we cannot create much, change it willingly together or even allow to love things from all these rules or boxes, preventing love or cross-pollination (which could allow expression, feelings, decisions about love rather than pretend to standardise / box in all people instead as cold 'authority' or as 'system'.

Could instead act as guidelines or even guiding lights instead of blocking that warmth !.

5 years ago, I realised that my #academic travels were emitting way too much #greenhouse #gas #GHG (up to 20 t #CO2 / yr) and hence that my #professional activity was not #sustainable. I thus decided to completely ban air #travel (#plane) and travel mainly by #train within #Europe.

5 years later (i.e. now), my professional travels' #carbonfootprint dropped by **a factor 50**, without impacting my #publication records (compared to 2017 - 2019).

I have an acquaintance who is graduating with a PhD in comp sci who is knowledgable in AppSec and has done extremely well in car hacking and other areas.
