I just heard today that plants are made mostly of air, and a little water. Most of the structure of plants are carbon from CO2, and hydrogen from the rain. Just a very small amount is minerals from the soil.

@freemo Tell me about it. I hate getting in discussions with people who don't understand logic well. It's necessary to try to make society a more reasonable place , but arguing with people who reason backwards (from conclusion first) or from emotion is incredibly frustrating.

We’re having a bit of an #IndianSummer here right now as we fast approach #Autumn. The temperature has been in the high 20s for a few days along with bright sunshine. It’s due to last several more days yet.

I often used to wonder where the term Indian Summer came from and later found out that it is actually of #NativeAmerican origin and nothing to do with #Indian #Subcontinental climatic conditions.
