@linmob
"I've been wanting to write a blog post on where LinuxPhoneApps.org is, what plans and goals are, and that generally help is needed, but I can't seem to get it done. So, here's the quick and dirty 🧵 instead:
I am fairly happy with the general state of the site, and would like to write this blog post also as a "well, I think this a proper launch now, hello there, #Linux media".
But: App information outdates as time goes on, there's a back log of what feels like 100 apps (framagit.org/linmobapps/linm…), and after reading this old gitlab thread (gitlab.com/postmarketOS/wiki…) I and putting some time on it, I must say:
Application discovery in the wiki / New Templates + page (#59) · Issues · postmarketOS / wiki ·...
Don't know whether I should split this into several issues, but since the topics are closely intertwined, I thought I'd put everything here. IMHO, our gitlab.com
Yes, we need a different mobile compatibility rating story (that accepts realities that are not Phosh) and it should be better than what postmarketOS came up with, more verbose). But how to get there, when time is to scarce to write a stupid blog post?
There are more issues: Switch to something better than CSV as a base (TOML, XML?), ...
The thing is: I can't do this alone. So here's the thing: I can happily pay for domains, but my personal resources (mainly time and energy) are too contrained to build
LinuxPhoneApps to what it can and should be, and I really need people to step up. Otherwise, the solution is to keep this list as it is, try to add and update apps as time comes by, and eventually give up in frustration.
So please, chime in, join the Matrix group, create issues on the repositories linuxphoneapps.org/docs/help…, get in touch via email. Let's discuss ideas, and build them. Thank you"

It's the same dilemma teachers have with their students.

Ehh... Not sure about that- CE might be better. At the very least, it's tied.

I would argue it does at least with the premise of waiting in long lines at the drive-thru. Some places are known to have 5-10 min waits. Add that to how long it takes you to go to-from the joint and you could've made yourself a home cooked meal.
Taking the wait time/commute out of the equation, and the tables turn in favor of fastfood.
