In Bash `$(<file)` is equivalent to `$(cat file)`, but faster:

A tip for anyone trying to convert from MS Word format to #latex using #pandoc. To get source code blocks to convert to verbatim environments in latex, create a style called "Source Code" and apply this to your source code in Word. Make sure to use (manual) line breaks rather than paragraph breaks within the code block.

Now could the #DailyMirror please tell us who blew up #NordStream Gas pipelines that caused untold #environmental damage...
