My migration to Mastodon is complete! I deleted my Twitter account. I am an Associate Professor at The University of Washington. My interests are innate immunity, host-virus interactions, RNA regulation and host genetics. I am looking forward to interacting with everyone! #RNA #hostpathogeninteractions #immunology

Hello there! I am a virologist, mainly studying respiratory viruses these days and innate immunity. I lead a research team at the IRIM, a CNRS/Montpellier university co-funded institute based in south of France and dedicated to studying infectious diseases. Used to love all the scientific exchanges on Twitter, hope to find this here too!

@soragnilab As we are all learning, I'm also using your toot to see if the option of is working....

@marcoradi @biorxivpreprint this is a great point, i have no clue if feasible but ill tag in @richardsever

Really interesting article in @ScienceMagazine@twitter.com describing #RSV, #Influenza, #COVID, and other respiratory viruses competing, often interfering with one another. Will be interesting to see what this means as we head into a winter with unmitigated spread. science.org/content/article/co

#introduction

Migrated here from the @sciencemastodon server to join my fellow genomics peeps.

I am the Director of the Genomics Research Incubator (GRI) at Penn State. The GRI is a collaborative research lab that aims to enhance research and training providing expert advice, guidance, and direct access to #genomics and #epigenomics assays utilizing high throughput sequencing.

Personal research interests include mechanisms of gene regulation in #hematopoiesis. #chromatin

As additional Appendix to my , I would like to our recent efforts in the field of : we have developed compounds acting at the same time as and or depending on the specific functionalization of the same chemotype.

#introduction I am a coordination chemist applying inorganic chemistry to forensics applications, or at least trying to. Crystallisation over columns anyday. I'm a senior lecturer at Nottingham Trent University. Always looking for collaborations. #chemistry #forensics #chemiverse

So it turns out there IS a tool to embed Mastodon timelines onto a website via HTML. You can find it here:

mastofeed.com/

Have just installed it here:

simonmarks.com/simonmarksfsn

...in place of the old #Twitter embed code. Works a charm!

Dear #IDMastodon,

I compiled a list of folks in ID to make it easy to find one another:

followlists.online/list/54f6c2

If you work in infectious diseases (broadly speaking) and would like to be included, please let me know.

Alternatively, if you DO NOT want these details shared, please let me know & I will remove.

The list (in whole or in part) can be exported (CSV). In :mastodon:, go to Pref > Import & Export > Import > Follower List ("merge" should be selected), upload CSV file

Some nice work from Ethan Toriki, James Papatzimas, Daniel Nomura and coauthors on bioRxiv biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/20

I think this is the first example in the “glue degraders” field where someone found a “degrading handle” that could be attached to multiple different inhibitors to give degradation of different proteins. A nice step forward in the rational design of molecular glue degraders!

#TPD #MedicinalChemistry #degraders

As appendix to my and catalyst for possible collaborations in the field, I would like to our recent effort in the modulation of the /#CCR6 axis to identify new for and other depending on the same axis.
