As far as I've noticed boosting or starring a toot does not show subsequent replies in the home or notifications.
Replying to the toot does show you when someone replies to your message, but not a other toots in the thread.

Is there an alternative way to stay up to date with a thread?

Bengaluru-based startup Loopworm is processing a stunning 50 tonnes of food waste every day to create a high-quality feed for Black Soldier Fly (BSF) worms. The protein extracted from the insects is used as a raw material in animal feeds and pet foods.

This -based biotechnology startup has developed a flagship vertical and indoor-based smart insect breeding, production, and processing technology to produce sustainable Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae-based proteins and fats.

The food waste sourced from processing industries or manufacturers is first converted into high-quality feedstock (via thermal, chemical and biological pre-treatment), and fed to these insects.

The accumulated healthy protein and fat are then extracted from these insects and used in different products.

To date, has conceptualised B2B products, including protein concentrate used as a raw material in animal feeds and pet foods, protein powder that serves as a natural diet for animals, fish, turtles, and crustaceans, and for use in poultry, farmed fish, and farmed pig diets for superior growth and meat quality), insect oil (used in animal feed and as a raw material in cosmetic products), and insect frass (plant immunity-enhancing soil additive).

Loopworm has secured grants worth Rs 1 crore in total from the Union and governments to support its pilot project. It has also received support from Social Alpha (a venture development platform for science and technology startups).

The startup is in talks with seven pet food and five animal feed manufacturers to supply their products and is undergoing commercial trials.

Riassunto della mia esperienza su #Mastodon di questi 3 giorni:
- la moderazione è pressoché eccellente, non ho incontrato utenti tossici;
- incontrare utenti under 18 é più raro di avere il verificato ai propri link della biografia;
- ci sono 293738 poeti improvvisati del 3° millennio.

Bella per chiunque abbia letto, se non l'avete ancora fatto seguitemi per un biscotto, grazie :D

@rastinza Okay, I've taken a peek at it now.

The two plugins in question are: Obsidian Columns (OC) and Multi-Column Markdown (MCM).

They have both pros and cons.

OC uses code blocks, and you can nest them to have columns inside columns. I'm not too fond of this approach much because if you have a genuine text or codeblock inside a codeblock, the normal text formatting or syntax highlighting is gone in editing. It's just a bit annoying to work with in editor mode. But hey, nested columns! The output is in divs.

MCM uses `=== keyword` type coding, so not codeblocks. It goes like `=== start-multi-column: name` and then right below it a small codeblock for some config settings, and then stuff like `=== end-column ===` and ending with `=== end-multi-column`. Rendering was a slight bit buggy but ultimately came out right. I likey because formatting of your content stays intact, but no column nesting possible inside them. And yes, this ended up as a div as well.

Soo ... I am second thoughts about switching #mastodon instances. Can I find out for an #instance which other instances are blocked on it?

Hi everyone! I'm new here and not so sure someone will ever read what I'm typing right now.

So let's procede with this #introduction...
I'm a MSc student in Chemistry.
At the moment I'm working on my thesis project within the Theoretical Chemistry group of Turin, Italy.

I joined the SDF community one year ago and I update with some (in)consistency my lovely gopherhole.

A few months ago I started taking some pictures after my gf gave me a Liam Wong book. The results are not so bad.

I have encountered more image descriptions on Mastodon in 24 hours than I have in Twitter in a couple of years. Seriously. I'm not exaggerating.
As a blind person, this means a lot to me. If you read this and you describe your images, thank you so, so, so much on behalf of all of us. If you don't, now you know you'll be helping random Internet strangers make sense of your posts by typing in a few more words than usual.
