@PowerfullJohnny But, since you apparently know Polish, here's the inspiration (second para, CW pictures of meat) szescstopni.wordpress.com/2014

@trinsec We expect a bit the day after tomorrow, but basically snow is over. The world is coming to an end.

So @internetarchive scanning books for their digital library is copyright infringement:

But OpenAI slurping all of that to train a model that then can generate text and put actual authors out of business (already happening with copywriters), is not.

Figures, there are no $billions of VC / corporate money behind Internet Archive, why would anyone want to support a public service, right? 🤦‍♀️

IA ≠AI, know the difference!

#InternetArchive

All pregnant Barbie dolls without wedding rings are recalled from stores in Poland.

Models of everyday life were deposited in #Egyptian tombs. They were supposed to support the deceased in the afterlife. One of the most charming examples is the model of a #cow giving birth.

@dragon @revk Simple. They take good water and remove whisky from it.

@holothuroid Good idea. It won't pass. And of course children are good at thinking for themselves. Free chocolate in schools would be a small price to pay if their demands for a liveable world could be met.

Privacy for all should be a goal—but the UK's Online Safety Bill would undermine privacy for everyone. It could also make the problem of child safety worse, not better. Tell the UK’s House of Lords to protect end-to-end encryption and privacy in the bill: act.eff.org/action/tell-the-uk

@linuxgal The secret of their success was that they only ate fruit and drank wine.

One of the biggest red flags in any discussion is "but think of the children".

@revk This could change if your local water plant could be convinced to add some whisky to the stuff they're pumping into the pipes, but I guess some people would protest and insist that we think of the children.
