My followers know the story about a rare friendship between my #dog and a #raven podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/
Then I learnt from @ct_bergstrom how easily #ravens learn to know that you have nuts for them. Walking with my dog, I always donated walnuts to a couple and their youngster. My dog left earth. I now come alone with walnuts and the ravens recognize me. But when they see me leaving the house, they call all their friends! 😱 Nobody had warned me that I have to increase the nut dose! 😄 #BilboPaths

Niedzielna rozkmina:

Ja i moja partnerka jesteśmy wegetarianami z ciągotami do weganizmu.

If we designed houses like we design cities—there wouldn't be a lot of room for living left.

She uses the same demo in this 1986 appearance on Late Night with David Letterman. Listening to her is an absolute delight. Take a few minutes to watch the interview.

"Our first guest tonight has credits that are far too impressive for any guest on this program."

Back in the forest after three days in a city. I'd never move back.

And this is hands-down the most time I ever spent patiently gathering data on a very faint and difficult image. This is 265 5-minute images of the Dark Shark, stacked, or about 22 hours of total exposure time.

One of my favorite things to see come across my screens each year: the US Fish and Wildlife Service has announced that Wisdom has returned to her mating grounds on Midway Atoll.

Wisdom is at least 71 years old, the oldest verified wild bird of any species. She has raised more than 30 chicks. She has flown the circumference of the Earth over 120 times. She is the closest the seabird world gets to a celebrity, and the only royalty I recognize. Long live the Queen.

I repeat this anecdote a lot so forgive me if you've heard it, but ...

... my Ukrainian-Canadian grandfather ran his dairy farm using a 1960s-era truck ...

... which was by today's standards *tiny*: Lower-slung, small cab

But!

It was *more usable* than today's monstrosities

It had a longer bed than today's trucks; being lower-slung made loading/unloading easier

Again: He ran a whole-ass farm with this vehicle; drove over rough terrain

Nobody *needs* today's bloated, paramilitary trucks

- Everything's delayed and we rarely have a good product/market fit.
- How about introducing Scrum?
- Well, okay. Where do we start?
- You need to hire a scrum master, obviously. And a couple of product owners.
- So... The managers?
- No, no, no. They can't be held responsible for managing the team.
- Oh, I get it, so they're responsible for timely delivery? Or a product?
- No.
- So, who's responsible for the delivery?
- The devs.
- What's changed then?
