I always thought that helicopter parenting was when your kid screwed up, you take 'em up in a helicopter and tell them that if they screw up again, you'll push 'em out.
I know it's very much frowned upon nowadays, but I've resolved to adopt a “helicopter #parenting” style with my children.
That's when one jumps on a helicopter and flies away as far as possible from their #kids, right?

@freemo That's [Aral Balkan](https://ar.al/). He's a #freesoftware advocate and a fierce critic of #surveillance, and I follow him and often agree with him about those matters. We seem to disagree _a lot_ about politics and economics, though. He's quite opinionated and blunt in his commentary. That said, I have _not_ seen him engage in name-calling, abuse, or any other objectionable actions of that sort. But who knows. 🤷♂️
This is just the kind of nuanced and balanced commentary that really helps move discussions forward 😏

Yet what is the debate and the media reaction (if any)? To denounce that **“men with college degrees have become so cocky that they’re ruining romance for their female counterparts”**.
(When in university, it was less than 20% females at my college, yet somehow at the time I missed all the headlines about those arrogant women playing hard to get…)
