#Clojure is very often used to create wrappers around other libs. This is a testament to its excellent syntax and development environment that this is deemed worthwhile. But it also produces the curious effect that I've experienced many times: you inquire of the library steward, "How does this work?" or "how can I do XYZ?" and they respond, "I'm not sure..."

Nbb, a scripting environment like #babashka, but for Node.js, v0.0.75 now has built-in integration with applied-science/js-interop!
Thanks @mhuebert for the library and help.
See https://github.com/borkdude/nbb#js-interop for more details.
An excellent look at #clojure datastructures, particularly from a Java dev perspective. Quite old, apparently, so it doesn't know 1.10 innovations, but it's helpful if you need to play alongside Java. https://cemerick.com/blog/2011/07/05/flowchart-for-choosing-the-right-clojure-type-definition-form.html

I'm happy to announce Reveal Pro for #Clojure — https://vlaaad.github.io/reveal-pro — batteries included version of Reveal, so you can focus on problems with data and knowledge you need, available as soon as you need it.

A quick reminder that Deep Learning for Programmers 1.0 book has been published a few weeks ago. Superfast, explains nuts & bolts of fast tensor operations, works on CPU & GPU. Iterative and incremental, step by step explanations. #Clojure #MachineLearning https://aiprobook.com/deep-learning-for-programmers/
I just read Spectre's intro blog post, and I gained IQ. THIS is why I love working in #clojure -- how often things are learned that can make you smarter in every domain. http://nathanmarz.com/blog/clojures-missing-piece.html

So, the fine humans at @lambdaisland have smoothed the way to having the full #clojure REPL experience in #minecraft!
What a fun way to learn some Clojure, or, put your Clojure skills to use in a creative way!
And here are some great insider insights into why the Python choice was made, though I'd still like to "what if" compare with @draganrocks @uncomplicateorg #Clojure implementation. Would performance and better syntax be enough to justify the alternative?

Of course, mentioning BLAS makes me automatically think of @draganrocks and doing Tensorflow in Neanderthal... Worth implementing stuff in #Clojure or too much critical mass with Python?

@TaliaRinger There are only a few options if you want (a) to use BLAS libraries and (b) for it to be useable by a broad audience.
MATLAB has already proven that having a truly heinous language for gluing your numeric computations together…

What sold me on #clojure:
1) Functional programming
2) Lisp (REPL, macros, regular syntax)
3) Can use it for work (tap into existing ecosystem)
I was already sold at that point, but then came:
4) On backend and frontend
5) And scripting
More top-shelf work from @borkdude ! Checking it out now to see if it explains the miracle of graal. Wait... they have a page for that... enlightenment.... thanks for leading the way, borkdude!

Made a project which uses #clojure http://tools.build and #babashka together. It has shared code for both runtimes and prevent unnecessary rebuilds.

This is one of the major benefits I've enjoyed about #Clojure Garden #css for four years: easy nesting of the rules. Nice to see css proper may catch up. https://github.com/noprompt/garden

Fantastic! 4Clojure was a great tool for years, until its owner passed away. This is a great looking port that I can't wait to try. #clojure https://github.com/PEZ/rich4clojure
