Just had a session with my student employees and was asked, "are there statically typed languages that do data destructuring [in the syntax]?" and I realized, it's been so long since I worked in one of those languages, I don't know.

Nice thread with some options for jobs

Absolutely! it's one of my favorite learning platforms, and @draganrocks work leads to way for numerics, linear algebra, etc!

has numerical computing punch, and then some more! + You can learn this stuff 'cause there are books! Read Numerical Linear Algebra for Programmers: An Interactive Tutorial with GPU, CUDA, MKL, Java, and Clojure now at aiprobook.com/numerical-linear

Garden makes in and something of a joy. Check out how these selectors work out, and of course auto-updating means editing styles in the browser's editor is much less necessary.

is terrific fun due to the fast feedback of the repl and the culture of simplicity. However, what you may not know is that it can also operate at high efficiency and power-house performance. See async, transducers, and @draganrocks cutting-edge work on numerics that leverage the GPU.

I'm actually torn on this one. PHP is a worse language, but Node is a worse ecosystem. And is on the heaven side of the equation, winning in both categories.

TIL that vectors in can be used as functions.

instead of using `nth`, you can use this.

Well said! With gradual typing and TDD, can easily sacrifice its natural speed for scalability which may not be warranted. Next investigation: how well can those slowing factors be added later, as needed?

Made another sketch with . I was playing with some ways to make more 'organic' shapes. Added some shapes along the edges and it looks a bit amoeba-like. Used ffmpeg to stitch together an animation too.

Anyone who has an issue with or brackets has not spent enough time with XML or HTML.

Yes, I did just refer to parens as "round brackets". It flowed better.

That's part of the beauty of . Since the same language is on the backend in JVM and front in , the hosted transpiling sidesteps any "not real programmer" vibes. Not to mention, . They might hate your parens, but they know you're a programmer.

It’s incredible how fast our industry went from “html isn’t real programming” to “rust programmer thinks publishing a website is too hard”

When we want to catch up we must stop @borkdude. Idk Cut his wlan or deinstall . 😂

People get after for its "error messages". That was on my mind when I just got this thing in Python.

First closures in JS, then Google Closure, then . That's programming apotheosis.

Looking forward to this, despite some schedule conflicts. Maybe we'll get some Bayesian ?

Some readable and codebases. Discussing readability requires an obligatory mention of @elementsofclj book too.

- This project tangles orgmode to for literate programming. github.com/thi-ng/geom/blob/fe

- For a major used library, I knew I couldn't go wrong with Corfield, so check out HoneySQL github.com/seancorfield/honeys

- Here is a new in-development one with the Lambda Island stamp of approval, asd seems pretty readable to me:

- And here is a small old "finished" one where I recently read the code to figure out how to do what the docs didn't mention:
