Hoops? No hoops here. Best of Windows and Best of Linux with WSL2. Run all my games, all my apps, any prompt I like. ;) twitter.com/kevinhooke/status/

@yogthos@mastodon.social Having read his post, apparently there is something similar in Haskell lenses. One more reason I should learn Haskell next, as soon as Clojure slows down teaching me new stuff.

JavaScript, putting the 'fun' in functions and the 'oops' in loops.

Try Windows 10 or 11 with WSL and WSLg and Visual Studio. It's FAST. I'm here in Windows Terminal, Ubuntu on WSL, VS Code, and running The Gimp (native Linux app) all at the same time. Pretty and fast. twitter.com/PrataManitej/statu

@freemo yeah, I've had similar reactions to CL and ELisp as far as paren disorientation. As much of a cop-out as it feels to suggest a tooling solution, rainbow parens does work wonders.

@freemo Haskell is for sure on my to-learn list, as it must be for any Functional afficionado

@freemo whoa -- that's a fresh take for me! Syntax is one of the things I love about all lisps, and Clojure just adds a few modernizations

@freemo @adnan360 Now that I check, it says "awaiting approval." So I don't know what that says about whether it's working.

I just read Spectre's intro blog post, and I gained IQ. THIS is why I love working in -- how often things are learned that can make you smarter in every domain. nathanmarz.com/blog/clojures-m

@adnan360 huh. That worked with no trouble. Thanks! For some reason clicking his name and following it to his Mastodon instance, types.pl, failed as my pictures showed. But simply searching and pressing "follow" worked without a hitch

Nope. This is not how it is supposed to work.

my gut response is, "yes! I hate all ads!" But then part of me remembers that ads actually are sometimes performing a service. Recommendations, awareness of alternative solutions. But I hate the inherent manipulation and dishonesty.
