It is probably a hole in me as a developer, but something about #blockchain just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's just it's name, or the way the concept is owned by bit coin profiteers, or how bit mining is damaging the open source world, or how it's damaging the actual world environment. I just feel this innate resistance whenever that word comes up. Anyone else? #blockchain
Nice bounce. I need to understand Flex Box more. I just jumped straight to grid instead, which may be better for templating but not as appropriate for one-off as Flex. #css

The #web3 I want to see it action: #ipfs , a Bitcoin-free operation https://ipfs.io/#why
#Owncloud is implementing #ActivityPub too, which is similarly exciting I think.
I didn't expect this some months ago, but if this really is going to spread and many other services not inherently "social" join the Fediverse, then I think very intersting things could happen.
What exactly I don't know yet, still wrapping my head around it. :)
@veer66 Yep. I drove the adoption of WordPress throughout our org years ago, and still hold to that. Ecosystem is mighty there, even if the language is desiring
People get after #clojure for its "error messages". That was on my mind when I just got this thing in Python.
@veer66 I do HuGO for my blogs, and a lot of WordPress for work. But used to include Rails, R, Python, Scala at work; now mostly just PHP and Clojure. Much easier to maintain.
I can't wait to hear this! I teach emacs to my student programmers at University and look forward to your insights
I like Plasma, though I haven't used a GUI WM for a while. When I do use them, the elegance and customizability of Plasma win for me.
I'm with Una on this one

First closures in JS, then Google Closure, then #clojure. That's programming apotheosis.

Closures in JavaScript 💛
Life can't always be all Clojure and JVM. Today I had to migrate a WordPress site to a local LAMP stack on my #Tumbleweed. Not as nice of a process as an uberjar, but hey, #WordPress ... https://orys.us/ud

@csaba_kissi This makes for a great toggle system, but it’s not a true accordion unless opening one closes another.
Accordions are achievable in pure HTML and CSS using radios. With a sprinkle of JavaScript, you can even animate to the height of the inner content. ✨

@lucifargundam I mean, they are treated as code used by a program, not treated as comments for humans
Cheers for documentation well done! Check out #clojure #clojurescript #re-frame docs: https://day8.github.io/re-frame/FAQs/Inspecting-app-db/#short-answer
