What's that thing called where I can input email#sometopic@example.com where it is either still sent to the main inbox or sent to a folder sometopic, depending on server settings? I am having trouble searching for it, though both gmail and other email providers observe it.

Is the wisdom of Separation of Concerns, I am interested in moving my email away from my web site provider. Any recommendations that would retain me email addresses, which are at-url and not at-provider?

In Christianity there's an in-built assumption that you may be the minority. But tech? I guess that makes this a hot take:

IOT is a massive privacy issue, always. But it is getting increasingly hard to disconnect from it.

Thanks to Facebook for react & react-native despite your evilness.

Never would have imagined I'd be using the same framework as the Instagram app for the Pixelfed app!

I've been trying to write a blog post explaining the difference between functional and imperative programming and I've failed multiple times due to writer's block

Instead, I'm going to dump my thoughts here on a Twitter thread to finally get this out of my head 🧵 (1/16)

For years my web hosting needs, including a number of websites and five or six email addresses, have been provided by Bluehost. But they were bought up by a mega provider, became heartless, and outsourced all service overseas. I already moved my DNS hosting to Namecheap, but what's the best way to change my email provider without losing my addresses? And maybe my servers?

If you ever wanted to build "native" apps without or any other here is a thing you might want to take a look at -- github.com/thheller/shadow-gro -- build by @thheller (creator of shadow-cljs)

Is xscreensaver still the best standalone xscreensaver for an x session? Or are there other ones I should try?

Solved! My EXWM is back in GUIX! Reason for the the month of debugging and the failure of exwm to start: one of my mouse cursor icon files was corrupted.

current theory: exwm is failing because something randr?

How can I find out whether by emacs was built for 64 bit, and/or wide-int?

I'm de-straightening my emacs config in an attempted to figure out why Guix EXWM hates me. But what are people doing these days? Even vanilla included-in-emacs package.el with use-package seems to choke because my old MELPA and Milkman links are no good anymore. Plus, I miss how in straight, everything was git repos.

What can I do instead of straight.el, or do people have straight working with Guix EXWM?

LaTeX is a perfect demonstration of the butterfly effect. You remove a comma on page 1 and a paragraph is moved on page 10. It's painfully beautiful!

Reading through giveupgithub.org/ makes me really want to continue with the co-op codeforge a few of us tried to start a while back. Any cooperators want to join us and get it going again? #GiveUpGithub #CoOp

Did you know that you can set 2 or more remotes with the same alias and so push to both (or more) of them at the same time when doing a git push?

That way you can push to gitlab, gitea and github in a single command

took me way, waaay to long to realize. :blobcatnotlikethis:
