Hiya. I've had an account here for a few weeks now, but never introduced myself...
I'm a computer science student that loves working with linux and wants to learn more about the open source world. I thought joining mastodon->fosstodon would be a great experience.
I really like learning about networking tools and want to get into integrated circuits as a hobby.

Hello, first post. Started in with MKLinux DR3 on a beige G3 back in 1998, been hooked ever since. Currently run CentOS 7 (waiting for 8 to mature as everything I need works in 7).
Not very social until I know people. This instance looked most likely to be my kind of people, but I will watch more than toot at first.
Alan Cox is smarter than Torvalds. (Okay don't know that or care, but gotta say something other than boring first and current distro...)

I agree with you. Alternative views only help us to grow and learn more. The problem of Twitter is hate. I want mastodon to be a place where different opinions exist but people respect each other's opinion.
