@AmpBenzScientist @fnord23 My friend has a Fatar 61TP/9 keybed that he is not doing anything with. I might have to talk him into letting me have it because progress is so slow.

@AmpBenzScientist @fnord23 Well, of course it would. I guess we could put one of those in there and it would be the most insane synth ever.

@thor @fnord23 Apicula got Gowin FPGAs working without closed source tools. The FPGAs might not perform as well as you would like but they are rated for industry and they are fairly inexpensive.

I've got a weird idea but it involves using the DSP abilities of a smartphone. The QCom Hexagon DSP can do a lot of work.

Tl;dr I have sadistic ideas.

@thor I still have the CD from around 1998. It's a great album.

Weapon of Choice is a good music video too.

@AmpBenzScientist @fnord23 I want to find the bit in the source code that says it has to be below 100 Hz. And maybe I'll try to change it, to see what happens. No one bothered to explain why it was set to that value. Maybe it was a false assumption.

@thor @fnord23 I'd recommend an AMD Ryzen based mini PC for the DSP abilities. It should outperform the Pi in everything.

@thor There are some good combat VR games. Beat saber is pretty cool though.

@fnord23 It loads a driver called snd-bcm2835 which appears to have both HDMI and PWM support in there and is partially upstreamed into the mainline kernel (staging). I'm finding the source code very hard to read. I want to know why you can't set short buffer sizes. It's a PWM controlled by a DMA. There should be no lower limit to how short that buffer is, but in practice, it looks like an artificial limit of 10 ms is enforced.

@thor @fnord23 It could be related to the ARM DSP implementation by Bcom. It might require that amount of time.

@TheOldGuy It just lands in Chechnia or an Oblast. Surely nothing bad would happen.

Everything at is now fixed and the all queues are response again. Sorry for todays slowness, but we found the last of the problems from the migration and now fixed that as well.
