As I do this work on finding and staying connected to my joy, I am realising how key joy is to #Buddhism- ALL the Buddhist paths, Theravada and Mahayana both. You see, Joy is more than just mental food- it’s a catalyst for energy transformation. Deep joy is the key to quieting your mind enough to make true meditation and transformation possible. Because when you’re fed from within, your mind doesn’t need to look outward for nourishment any longer.

I'm a #Black #neurodivergent (#ADHD) #disabled ace woman in her late 30's based in the UK. I have a #chronicillness (#MECFS)- former nurse but housebound now. I am extremely concerned about the way our society is going so I spend my time reading, doing serious #philosophy & trying to build #community despite having severe social anxiety. I'm also a dedicated longtime #Buddhist practitioner. I study #Japanese as a hobby (& yes, I do like #anime!)

For dinner I had a wrinkly nectarine, and various bits and pieces incl 1/2 pack of frozen paneer and 1/2 pack of bao buns.

I made home-made bbq-sauce paneer and nectarine & lime salsa bao buns.

Wifey says it is the best meal I’ve made. Cooking: like chemistry but tasty.

I have the weirdest problem with my laptop, and I have no idea how to even debug it. So, I'm posting it here in case anyone has an idea:

I'm using Ubuntu 22.04; all updates installed.
Almost all the time, I'm connected to my home wireless network (router + APs).

Last week, the connection to the wireless was working fine. I went on vacation for one week; I took the laptop with me so it was not connected to my home network. Today I tried to connect to my WiFi, but it is not working.

The laptop can connect to the wireless network,
and it gets the IP, DNS and routes assigned via DHCP. But pinging to the router does not get any response.

I tried the wired connection (same router), and it works.
I tried the WiFi hotspot from my phone, and it works.
All other devices connected to the wireless network work.
There are no firewall rules in the AP or router blocking my laptop (again, it connects to the wireless network and DHCP works).
iptables is clean.

If it is a problem between the laptop and the AP, how can it get all the DHCP info?

If the problem is between the AP and the router, how do the other devices work fine?

If the problem is the wireless driver in Ubuntu, how does connection to the hotspot in the phone work?

I removed and recreated the WiFi configuration to my home network; it does not fix it. I also tested using a static IP.

I have no idea what this could be.
Any ideas?

One reason to take advantage of a VPN or "Community Based" internet is to avoid the strict search result rules in Canada. For example, some of the metaphysical or "fringe"/"non-conformed" sites are not allowed to be shown in Canada. Drastically affecting my ability to research topics such as Metaphysics, ESP, Zero-Point or Scalar physics.
I Suggest, if it fits your purpose in life, proclaim spiritual adulthood and support ethical platforms, or choose a country for your VPN that believes your right to information is important.
(does not treat you as a "child" spoonfeed you regurgitated state "allowed" information)

When I changed my VPN to Mexico, I could get some of the important information I was looking for like "432 Harmonics" a small example.

Bill C11 and C18 and the Trudeau "Ministry of Truth" have downgraded Canada's access to information to be at a "Banana Republic" status.
I am waiting for a modern global review from internet freedom advocates.

Fast-tracking of the WEF Digital Services Act in countries like Canada and Australia is only possible because of the lack of education in the history of Constitutional Law and the necessity of civil disobedience in response to state power and corruption.
