I would say the same thing about most music that's played on the radio in the US. There's virtually no complexity or variety to it. It's all rehashing the same concepts over and over.

BBS's have become somewhat modernized in recent years, though they still have the same look and feel of the 90's.

I was using SyncTERM. The bar at the bottom shows whatever BBS you're logged into at the time. I was accessing the Fidonet interface on that BBS. This particular interface gives you the option to use an avatar for all your Fidonet messages.

I tried out this program a couple years back. I could never figure it out. Too many parameters to keep track of. It's the kind of thing you really have to devote time to learning.

It kinda bothers me when the media refers to people who run phishing scams as "hackers". I mean, obviously most hacking these days has a social engineering component, but if a data breach relies entirely on social engineering and nothing else, then it's not hacking, because you're not actually using any computer skills. There's nothing more cringy than someone who thinks they're some amazing black hat hacker because they basically just called someone and asked for their password.

This new antidepressant is making my vision fuzzy.

This New Year's Day, I finally admitted to myself that the reason I've been depressed lately is because I have no purpose in life. I need to take some time to seriously reconsider where my life is going, and come up with some goals that would really excite me and give me a reason to get out of bed every morning. Since my current purpose is null and void, these goals can be literally anything.
