@utopiah yes, the world of numerical simulations is really complex, I only grasp one kind of numerical problems and still learning each day.

Thanks for the link and let's keep in touch!

@utopiah Looks promising! We really should have that coffee.

My PhD is about CUDA porting of linear solvers for differential equations (mainly for simulations).

The thing is: I guess that it is not applicable to real-time contexts.

@utopiah Absolutely! I used to follow you in the Elon-verse, that's why I know about you :)

What kind of numerical simulations? FEM or particle-based?

Hey @utopiah nice to meet you!

I'm a fellow VR developer in Brussels too :) Let's share what awesome things we do.

@didier @derickflorian Thanks!

I am currently using Bitwig Studio, in order to work on Linux :) Besides, it's a really good DAW.

@derickflorian thank you so much 😍

I have another track that goes harder, I will try to release it when I'll be less taken by work!

@killyourfm Glad to meet you then, we have the same mindset 😋

I'm really loving mastodon. The interaction between people with similar interests is really fluid.

@killyourfm Yes, while I find it quite expensive, for me it's worth it as the time playing with parameters in Bitwig is really reduced by its confortable interface.

When I work in music/art I want to keep apart my computer science side and just focus on creating, so that is really helpful.

It also is really well maintained for the moment. Big updates each 2-3 months.

@killyourfm I tried Ardour at the time but unluckily didn't meet my needs, so for the moment I am using Bitwig Studio (not open source).

I hope there will be an alternative ableton-like software in the future!

@killyourfm I am a computer science researcher and developer, but I also mix music and even produce (all in Linux).

At my company we even contribute to open source projects :)

We've just announced that the @godotengine project will soon be moving from @conservancy (to which we are forever grateful) to its very own Godot Foundation!

That shouldn't change much in practice as we're keeping the same people, policies and goals, but this opens up some new possibilities to support #GodotEngine in the near future! #opensource #FOSS

@bonifartius thanks for the tips, I'm really liking the community feeling of qoto :)

Yes, I think that here I'll have to change the mindset that I developed in the Muskverse

Please, recommend accounts (🇪🇸 🇫🇷 🇬🇧 ) that are in the following interests:

- Technology (programming, etc)
- Music (production, dj, etc)
- Gaming (game development, indie games, etc)

I find it quite hard to develop a circle of connections in Mastodon. However, still looks promising.

@dpr wow nice setup! is that the dvs device that you're using? I never saw anything like that, looks like a CDJ.

As I said in my presentation, I have started learning music production for some months now.

The first track I have finished is "Dreams". I hope you like it!

Still working on other tracks, keep tuned ;)

OpenMP is really powerful. just by adding some lines of code you can achieve incredible speedups in parallelizable code, try it!
