I was trying to explain to a friend in lamens terms why dark matter is so hard to detect while other weakly interacting particles were a bit easier (like neutrinos). It all comes down to mass.

If you could only interact with an object by blowing on it (an analogy for weak interactions) you could easily influence a fast moving feather (an analogy for a light neutrino). However if it were a bowling ball you can blow on it all you want and it wouldn't be effected at all (an analogy for Dark Matter).

So, the holiday is over now. Radios are reawakening, local televisions are resuming broadcast. Buses and cars are running on the streets instead of children.

I can't decide which password manager to use. Should I use Keepass, Bitwarden or pass? They all seem like good candidates with different merits... For now I think I'll go with pass because there's a really nice dmenu script for it that makes it easy to use in any type of application.

We're coming in to Yom Kippur here in Israel- and even in Tel Aviv, the bastion of secularism shuts down. The whole city shuts down- it's a little crazy, to be honest.

Major cities shut down because of a holiday. I'm not into the holiday part of it, but I love the cultural aspect of it.
