@copyleftie@freeradical.zone I subscribe with rss too, but I didn't know about this mps-youtube for the searches... coupled with youtube-dl seems like an awesome way of staying out of the youtube website, thanks!

@copyleftie@freeradical.zone do you use a client for desktop?

@copyleftie@freeradical.zone now, that's what I'm talking about.

@peterdrake
Open the phone and remove the part that rings can be an idea?

@Blort
Also the android app allows you to do that, and 'subscribe' to instances

@jaklumen@mastodon.social
I use quiterss. OPML, categories, tags, no remote server... cool software!

@ondiz Dobbiamo dare la casa ai signori Neri? (16th phrase, on the left) =D

@ondiz
Do we have to give the house to the Black lords?

@ondiz That's a nice painting, thanks for sharing!

@ondiz Did you published it here or is it still waiting in a cupboard?

Bring your cubes out!

@orbifx@mstdn.io You mean the personification matter and is largely lost?
Because I have the opposite feeling, and I personally don't like that approach to nature in particular.

Preference to trees given by whom, you mean?

Sorry, I'm a bit confused, lost in words =D

@orbifx@mstdn.io beside the fact that trees are not the "ancient guys" of the plant kingdom (they came about in the carboniferous), the personification of natural elements is, in my opinion, a phenomenon that can't be understood without a grasp of evolution. Teleological perception of elements makes for a quicker decision-making process and that can't be ignored by selection. The symbolic connection is likely just a pattern you can draw in the sand.
Just my 2 cents.

kudos for using old.reddit, new graphic sucks

Have they finished their constitution yet? Last time I checked it was still a draft, a few years ago

@js290
Well, they look for unanimous consensus, but should have the members trained for a quick and rational decision making process imo... what I witnessed was madness, not just on my case, but even for more trivial stuff like fixing a broken window.

Makes me wonder how efficient this kind of governance is...

An update on my small group trying to push for #environmentally friendly practices in my area

It is a nightmare. We had a lot of ideas and projects, which I talked about in another post, and right now we had to go through 3 meetings, have been insulted and are facing a lot of irrational, angry resistance for just proposing to do a 200 liters bin for the kitchen scraps in a leftist, squatted social center.

I'm not sure if being more annoyed to the irrational resistance or to the people that, by supporting the idea, are actively keeping us going there to discuss it... again... and again... and again... since one month and counting.

If their point is draining us of any enthusiasm, it's working like a charm.

@slackz I hope no one gets mad at me, but I use amazon, mainly for books, I'd like to give my money to more ethical companies but couldn't find a valid alternative so far (maybe I didn't look hard enough).

Do you know of some good alternatives?

@JovialKarma Doesn't imply inequitable, just that it is the difference between how much you spent for it and how much you sold it for (to make a simple example).
