@freemo That is very cool. I had a small family once here in the backyard, mom nested under the deck, and birthed her little ones there. They stayed around for some time, I did not interfere.
Sometime months later I recalled, checked and they were gone.
@realcaseyrollins Amazon is pretty good with the shipping, even without Prime membership. I opt for Free Shipping, if the order is over $35 CAD, it comes thru in a few days.
Just a bit of a delay, they used to deliver around 2 days mark, but slowed down on purpose - to sell the benefit of Prime.
Inquiring minds demand to know. So... Test.
Test apparatus as prepared. Additional green matter added as Zatar, and a bit more extra virgin olive oil.
Preliminary report, taste was not any issue, delayed for observable results should be at least an hour, as other edibles, I assume?
Factor to consider, infusion time - just a few minutes in this case, but longer, overnight possibly better?

@Full_marx Oh, poor kitty! 😔
I am glad she's getting treatment, and is getting better.
You have been missed, we had great conversations here, but there's no need to apologize. When major things happen, we need to drop everything to concentrate and take care of that.
Hope she continues recovering and doing well. 🙏

@pschwede Cool, let us know how it works for you!
@freemo Insulin has been around for many years, I am assuming this product hasn't changed its composition over these 10 years? And yet the price sky rocketed.
American trade negotiators have demanded higher patent protection as part of some of their agreements negotiations. UK people are already expecting some of that when they get to the table with US after a Brexit.
There needs to be profit enough to refund big upfront costs in R&D, and especially the testing phase and approval.
Excessive profiting is non-ethical though.
@chrism Nice post, thanks Chris!
Surprising how in depth it is, being published on Forbes. I found that using the browser's Reader mode (F9 key in FF) allows the spurious distractions of their side video to go away. Otherwise it's impossible for me to concentrate on the article.

Interesting design, bottom heavy letters. Nice that they are offering it freely.
It does look a bit weird to me, but no physical affect to report on short exposure by site visit.
@freemo That's indeed shameful.
And it's an essential, life saving drug. Huge profit motive, and the companies are getting away with it.
Zatar is really delicious, if you have any Arabic food stores nearby it's worth try finding it. Preserves well on a sealed bag or jar, and packs flavour and calories when mixed with good virgin olive oil.
The mix components and taste does vary a bit from brand to brand, the ones I liked best were prepared in Syria, and now not available due to the country's destruction in civil war.
It should have thyme, sumac, sesame seeds which give it texture and flavour. Sometimes there's a nice lemon taste, which feels perfect. Yummy indeed.
Yuo can also add it as dry powder on top of bread, or on top of something like ricotta that has bland taste.
@freemo
Never tried biting into bud, so no idea if tastes bad or not. Mixing a bit with zatar might work, as it is delicious and fragant too.
Would be curious to know the total production of weed this year in Canada, the first year after legalization in October 2018.
I was very surprised to go for a kid's birthday party, and seeing a big cannabis plant growing happily in their backyard garden plot.
Then saw it in other people's homes, in containers or in the ground directly. I think there must have been a lot of new home gardeners this year!
@salad_bar_breath
@freemo Yes, indeed!
Seeing this photo I immediately recalled the Mercury passage ones, where the planet seems about this size in scale.
Nice depth of filed in the photo, that can capture the close ISS while keeping the Sun in focus too.
@freemo
TY, glad I hadn't tried the experiment then, the tea route seems inneficient and wasteful.
The dissolving in oil is intriguing! I like to eat Zatar, a middle East condiment mix based on Thyme, which is nice with olive oil and some pita bread.
Got to try adding some fine shredded flower to it and see.
@freemo Thank you! Interesting, would never have thought it would appear so.
It does appear to be in close orbit around the Sun in the photo. ![]()
@freemo
Great to know, thank you.
'buf' being?
Would making a tea like infusion from dry flower work? Thought about it but haven't tried, would hate to loose good plant material to testing.
Don't smoke tobacco at all, so the casual joint feels a bit harsh on lungs sometimes.
