@freemo I do have and use a pressure cooker too, for beans, chick peas, lentils and such it's great. Never tried it for rice, since I have the rice cooker itself and it works well.

Pressure cooker works well for meat and potatoes stew, softening cheaper meat cuts to perfection in no time.

I love the discreet colour of these tents. Had to get here in North America, they always seem to have splashes of colour that stand out when you are trying to blend in. These blend really well with landscape.

A current trip taking place in Germany, photos posted on FB.

Poor dear. Caught on the act, licking Mom's bagel cream cheese. ☹️😝

I wasn't licking the cream cheese on your bagel, I was merely inspecting it. With my tongue.

@jahnke Hello! Long time no see. I just looked at your profile and saw the mention you moved to NYC in February. Scary place to be those days, hope you and the family stay safe!

I did a bit of mech work on my bikes, listed a few for sale and have sold 10 in total. Nice to have some space for the others, spare hooks to hang them, etc.

@freemo I really got intrigued by that cake, man. On a rice cooker, who would have thought. Mine is simpler and a reasonable price, but does have a couple of different programs (white rice, or whole grain).

These are neat and never burn the rice like can happen on a stove top.

A Rice Computer, I would call it.

Fancy dancy, need a Good manual for this thing. In Japan, Rice is king of the table and the staple food, hence these.

@hrisskar @Full_marx OMG, look who is back, welcome! 😃

I would say it's not a Body thing, what you refer to, but a Mind one. Which wants to wonder, jump thru the loops and investigate the nooks of the Internet rather than sit down and settle to try to rerad and understand that text book.

More and mroe our attention spans get damaged by the information overload. Less is many times More, we have sometimes too much info and that is part of the difficulty in settling down for hours and read (maybe actually enjoy) a book, a novel, etc.

I like to refer to this very a propos article on The Atlantic : theatlantic.com/magazine/archi

@zleap It would be difficult to pass a Medicare for all in the Congress and Senate, the Republicans get huge funding for their campaigns fro the Health Racket Industry (hospitals, insurance companies).

And Joe Biden has been opposed to it in the past, so yes, not going to happen if this comes thru.

I have seen suggestions of bringing Andrew Cuomo's name, the level headed NY State governor, bring his name in to the next series of primaries and to the Democratic convention. He would be a much more inspiring and capable candidate (although he doesn't seem to be too fond of progressives).

@kafinsalim It's not Twitter, although it might look like it - the main developers were all twitter users in the past.

@freemo Portugal has wonderful food, simple and hearty. The fish are great too for people who like seafood. Bacalhau, Salted Cod, is prepared in many ways and available everywhere.

Meat is most commonly pork, there's excellent chicken and a bit pricier beef. A nice Chinese little place I ate at had stir fry plates with all the same veggies, but three prices depending on which meat you selected.

And things are so fresh and tasty on the markets. I loved going shopping there, at the municipal markets, or even at the supermarkets.

@freemo I had a table roasted Chouriço in a patio, on a small village in Northern Portugal, and it was wonderful. Accompanied by good Tinto and bread as I mentioned, eaten under the grapewine covered trellis above us, on a beautiful Spring day.

Sweet memories! Similar to the one in this photo -- which has a delicious Portuguese "Sagres" beer, another worthy accompaniment to the plate.

recipe? super easy. easyportugueserecipes.com/gril

@11112011 Ah, que bom, ainda mais que é facil achar um bom Chouriço por aí! Saudades de Portugal!

Bom fim de semana!

@DOLPHE2168 Could you explain the content of your link?

I am part of the local moderation team, and am questioning what does it lead to, and if it conforms with out policies. Seems dodgy, to be honest, two redirects and a bunch of affiliate IDs it seems. Thank you.

It's part of our site's code of conduct and policy that advertising or marketing is NOT acceptable, and a reason for account termination.
