It has been around a year since I changed both to and converted to a from a conventional full size.

From time to time, I took some , to see the progress in my speeds and accuracy. I thought that sharing my stats might help someone which is wondering if they should take a similar road :blobaviator:

For reference, I was before typing at a speed around 100-120 wpm, but my wrist was hurting so much that I was fearing I couldn't longer type in the long run... so it is a win for me, even if now I'm (for the moment) slower :ablobwob: Unfortunately, I started using MonkeyType with an account only after I changed the keyboard, and didn't think of taking a screenshot before... I regret it so much, so if you are doing something similar, please take at least a screen of your previous data :abloblamp: but having a fresh account gives a bit of dopamine when it shoots confetti to notify you of an improvement :ablobparty: It's more like wanting to improve, and less about trying to compete with your older self.

is a in Dvorak layout, tilted and rotated to the outside instead of the usual inside (i find it more comfortable and natural) and with the halves widely spaced.

I use the computer e.day, for most of the day doing video-editing, 3D, moderation, some coding, a lot of chatting, study... needless to say, I have exercised every day for the past year :ablobbass:

And yes, I can still use a qwerty keyboard (maybe because of the shock therapy change), but don't like typing on it!

Recently I've restarted using again, and... This week I didn't notice, but I've actually spent over 260 minutes studying!
Might not be the best way to learn a language, but surely keeps you on the 'books' instead of wasting time... and that's overall a win, I guess :blob3c:

Since mid October 2023, noticing I was starting to have more and more , which were lasting days instead of hours... I opted to give those fancy a chance, and after several research hours, I opted for the , there were alternatives, but too far from what I was used to, was unsure and this was my final choice. (also found a good local used deal)

Since I was changing keyboard, why not use also a more ergonomic layout? So, I opted for a and went with and used this combination ever since! My first days were quite.... a going back to when I was 7 years old, sub 10 wpm XD but after a couple of weeks, typing was not as humiliating as before and my speeds increased :)

From time to time, I recorded my progress on and these at the bottom are 4 months of data, from a classical full size at 110ish wpm to currently 60ish, with a constant increase week after week. I am not in a hurry, as my wrist pain vanished, and that was the final goal.. So I'm okay with half the speed and -95%ish pains :)

Hope this might prove useful to someone that is also considering this or have this kind of ^^

Needed to compress a directory, and noticed that my script was lacking the ability to perform that action... so I've added a directory check [to the xz9 compress script](github.com/FraYoshi/fura-utils) 💫
It should work, if you encounter problems, let me know ^^
It creates an `.xz` in case of file and `.tar.xz` in case of directory 📦
