Compiler theory and machine learning have a lot of potential and connections with each other.

@freemo Something I've wondered about going on dives, especially when you get into the hundreds of feet... Do you ever experience claustrophobia or agoraphobia?

Hope it's not a dumb question haha, I understand you don't go 60m on the first try. It just seems like between the constraints of the gear and the openness of the water there's a greater opportunity for a panic response to take over.

@b6hydra I dont. Even on cave dives where the space is pretty tight I am still pretty comfortable. I am sure some people do, but those people probably wouldnt SCUBA dive in the first place.

That said I will say this, BEFORE I learned to SCUBA I would feel something you might call agoraphobia when I was swimming in the middle of the ocean with no visible bottom. Though Diving in areas like that quickly cured me of those feelings.

Not related to agoraphobia or claustraphobia I can say your first few dives can be scary, my first 10 were. But the fear is more like "If my equipment breaks and my dive buddy doesnt see me I might die". Thats a healthy fear though and ultimately is what lead me to go tech because in tech you have a backup for everything, even tanks.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how badass is Technical SCUBA Diving?

Another picture of me from today's dive at 190 ft / 60 meters. This time a close up while I'm just floating around vertical taking in the view.

A picture me on today's dive. We are doing the wall dive but a little farther north where its not a vertical slope. This is about 190 feet / 60 meters down.

@mushambo I am a cave diver but because there is sunlight throughout the archway this wouldnt be considered a cave. It would probably be classified as a cavern.

@trinsec
Yea that circle is a hole with walls on all sides that goes down deep. Then there is a small tunnel at about 60 or 70 meters that connects it to the ocean.

@trinsec
What exactly is predetermined? Like the choice of words is not randomized so you saw the list and know what each word will be because you memorized the list?

Its official, tomorrow i am diving the Blue Hole and doing the Archway. It is called "The worlds most dangerous dive" due to the huge number of people that died attempting it. That said, its not really a risky dive for a tech diver. The Archway is about 190 feet/ 60 meters down and provides a tunnel out to the open ocean. I'm going to try to record it.
