You are being lied to.
Don't even take my word for it, I challenge the moderator to find even a single example of a problematic post anywhere on our server, and he couldnt.
He already admitted in another thread we were blocked because he adopted an incredibly abusive block list because he was too lazy to moderate himself. Bunch of threads cropped up of past Universeodon users who were upset and reports of this moderators abuse has been surfacing.
In fact multiple people have even stood up since then pointing out how we **Strictly** moderate hate speech, and our timeline clearly shows that.
He has ignored all of it and even when having all the proof in the world he just keeps saying "well no one complained when we blocked you" even though tons of people have.
Your moderator is lying to you. Just go look at our timeline, dont need to take my word.
Honestly its not Bidens age that is the issue, it is his senility. Just as its nots Trumps age that is the issue, it is his stupidity.
Neither are fit to serve as president sadly.
Its hard for me to think you have a house that has sit there rotting away for 100 years with no modern work to clean it up and it could be worth that much.
I suspect either you’ve done work on it in the last 100 years, or it would be afraction the value. I mean how did your house sit there for 100 years and even remain in livable condition. Windows break, wood rots, and ultimately when you replace it its with modern tech usually.
The first link is literally about a small minority passing a **proposed** bill through a rather minor part of the govt process. There is no indication it has majority support or any hope to pass.
The second link is 4 years old, and since then same-sex marriage has gotten partial recognition (same-sex marriages conducted outside the country are recognized and honored), so it has literally moved towards accepting same-sex marriage in both cases not against.
I highly advise against using the news to inform you, fact check this stuff.
Thats very surprising. Wouldnt have expected asbestos in a home to be legal these days… admitidly I dont know the specific laws.
But regardless if you are ok with a home that is literally just sitting there unchanged for 100 years, then go fo rit. You can certainly get it a lot cheaper than a modernized home thats for sure (And thus the point).
@LouisIngenthron Not at all. Nebulas do look different in X-ray and other spectrums, and **some** nebula are uninteresting in visible light. But all the famous nebulas more or less are quite beautiful to the naked eye.
See this post from my blog for a picture of the great nebula in orion using visible light only (also attached)
Even the houses we have that were built a long time ago, most have been mostly or completely renovated in more recent history. My house is 100 ish years old but was renovated 10 years ago completely.
In fact any house that is sufficiently old that is in the exact state it was in 100 years agowould not be legal to live in in many cases with stuff like asbestos and dangerous wiring, etc.
Depends on the supernova. You can just barely see some nebula. The great nebula in orion for example looks like a hazy patch to the naked eye you can just barely make out. Simple binoculars will give you a decent view of the core.
A supernova's brightness varies greatly. The one 400 years ago was so bright it could be seen in the day time at its peak.
How is that a see-saw? Seems same-sex marriage has been across the board seen more acceptance and I havent seen this backtrack much.
@Amikke Yea and that would also probably be one of the cooler ones to go!
@Gbudd The problem with that reasoning is that a house 20 or 40 years ago is not comparable to a house today. To put it into perspective just a modern day next thermostat 40 years ago would have cost you more than the entire cost of a modern home.
If you were willing to accept a 100 year old or 40 year old home in terms of safety standards, lack of tech, lead paint, and all of the other aspects you can get a dirt cheap home.
The truth of the matter is simply that you cant compare an education or a home from the past to one in modern day, they are not the equivalent
Not sure if I should cry or laugh.
In all seriousness though the idea that the past was better financially is objectively false. If you are willing to live by older safety standards and quality then you can live as affordably as you could in the past. Most of us dont want to live like we did in the 1920s though.
While its very unlikely (but very possible) my dream in life would be to witness a supernova.
Last time one was bright enough to see with the naked eye was about 400 years ago. So my chances are slim.
Interesting side note, a supernova is the fastest moving stellar event we can see with our naked eye that we know of. It starts and ends (usually resulting in a nebula) over the course of just weeks to months. Could you imagine seeing a bright light form in the sky out of nowhere, last for months, and then in the end have a beautiful new nebula in its place... my god that would be so cool!
@LouisIngenthron HA!
@freemo No, no "naval" means warships. I wonder how big a stethoscope he needs to check a battleship's pulse...
