hmm i have to dig up my earlier paper on So(N) rotations... Im starting to doubt my doubts on the importance of double-rotations...

Anyone out there understand or is an expert on double-rotations (not to be confused with simple rotations) when talking about 4D space?

@freemo Oh it sure is disruptive to one’s life! Such a shame most people tend to, well, these comics explain better than I could. Plus, someone moping quietly in the corner I suspect doesn’t quite activate fight-or-flight from others like an overtly pissed-off guy does! :0120:

Interesting fact of the day. In ancient egyptian culture the saying "Eaten the heart" was a reference to grieving without justification, which was one of the mortal sins that would keep you out of their version of heaven.

It was one of the negative confessions recited by the dead during the weighing of the heart against the feather of Maat (sometimes called the feather of truth).

The history of europe is such an amazing thing to expiernce. As an american it was a surreal expiernce to walk around a city and see things standing that, at times, were thousands of years old.

venice italy was particularly remarkable in this respect. It is hard to do construction there due to the lack of roads so often when old brick structures break they are repaired with bolts rather than replaced. Virtually all the architecture there is quite old as a result. You can feel it.

I am trying a blood orange for the first time... Its sweet almost like a mild orange. I suspect this may be healthier, less sugar. I like it but nothing special.

@resynth1943@banana.dog And thanks to us having Full Text Search here at Qoto, I managed to find my post!!!

I'm watching this videop where someone tries Kumis for the first time and before he drinks it he scowls and he goes "Fermented female horse milk". I wish I was there so I could go "You think thats bad, the male horse milk is even worse!"

Casu Marzu is a type of intentionally rotten cheese eaten in certain regions of italy.

I'm not sure if I'd have the stomach to try it but I guarantee you if i ever do the maggots are going to be removed first...

Because the larvae in the cheese can launch themselves for distances up to 15 centimetres (6 in) when disturbed, diners hold their hands above the sandwich to prevent the maggots from leaping. Some who eat the cheese prefer not to ingest the maggots. Those who do not wish to eat them place the cheese in a sealed paper bag. The maggots, starved for oxygen, writhe and jump in the bag, creating a "pitter-patter" sound. When the sounds subside, the maggots are dead and the cheese can be eaten.

High quality chilli powder, some garlic, and a few other spices really make it pop. but I went a bit heavy on the chilli powder (hand made) and it really made it all come together.

The beef jerkey has been in for about 5 hours and not really all that close to done. will likely need another 3 - 6. I cut it thick, not intentionally, I just suck at cutting meat.

Either way I took a sample and man I cant wait, the flavoring is just right!

There is a slight possibility i may have bought too much fruit for a single male living by himself...

@freemo I was only partly joking.

When we put on the water-kettle, we turn electricity into heat. Why not make your kettle a tiny crypto-miner instead?

Slightly larger, is what Nerdalize was doing (they went bankrupt: typical startup-scaling-errors made). Not crypto-mining, but still anything that needed large FGPU farms could be ran on their fleet of heaters in people's houses and showers when those people needed heat.

Thank god for the Patriot Act and its additions. Before I had very little faith and trust in our gov't, and now I have 0. That makes things easier. Thanks!
