So I watched the new hunger games. I was expecting it to be about the start of the war and establishment of the hunger games... i t wasnt.
I found it to be a complete flop.
Yup, its what happens when people finally start meeting non-americans after a life of thinking USA is the only country.

Could you imagine being alive before newton, just floating and swimming through the air with no gravity going from one place to another. Newton was kinda a dick for inventing gravity, it makes everything so much harder.

A recent post made by @freemo and his split keyboard (https://mastodon.nl/@freemo@qoto.org/111377477128629607) triggered me to look into Split mechanical keyboards. I am currently fielding the *takes a deep breath* Kinesis Gaming Freestyle Edge RGB (https://gaming.kinesis-ergo.com/edge/), and it is great for me. Near perfect. But not perfect yet.
So I am wondering if I should work as-is with it, or start a new fun hobby of creating new keyboards that fit my specifications. 🤔
I only wound up even hearing about Hogwarts Legacy **because ** of the boycotts. Now I find it turns out to be the best selling game of 2023.
I wonder if people realize that boycotts often do more to advertise a product than it serves to cancel it.
I wonder how many airtags that are active and reporting are present in a large mailsorting facility at any one time.
Since they talk over iphone's bluetooth I think I would expect if you walk into such a location with an iphone your phone might freeze from all the traffic!

To be explicit about this I do not consider myself to be any different to the 1000s of refugees who call Luxembourg their home nor indeed to the 1000s of others who, like me, for one reason or another, moved to Luxembourg to make a living.
Living in Luxembourg shines a bright spotlight on the immigrant -v- expat question as an astonishing 47%+ of the population of Luxembourg are immigrants (yes, that isn't a typo - the official government figure is more than 47% of Luxembourg residents, were born outside the country making them immigrants like me). Even more surprisingly, taking the population of the capital city alone, more than 70% of population are immigrants - yes 70%!
I never intended to remain in Luxembourg for the 20 years that I have lived here and certainly didn't anticipate retiring here although that is what has happened. At what stage did I morph from being an 'expat' into an immigrant, I wonder? (I'm a white, sedentary, office worker and therefore absolutely "entitled" to call myself an expat according to the way that I have seen it used)
