If information had mass. I think its easy to conclude that information requires potential energy to represent it, since we know energy has relativistic mass it would make sense to expect information to have mass.

If we want to keep moderating this server effectively and allow all languages here (my preference) I think we really desperately need an inline translating service of some kind. I'm going to add it to my todo for new features to look into. I get increasingly worried as there are more and more posts I cant read and therefore makes it hard to be proactive in my moderation (which is just as important even on a server that doesnt have the need for such moderation)

@pschwede You asked what all the new features were, here is the official announcement where they were listed. Rob also did an extended post on each feature individually so if you want to learn more about a specific feature just ask and I can forward you that post as well.

For anyone not on the QOTO instance or doesnt use the web interface here is a screenshot of what the instance ticker looks like in the feed. Its optional and can be turned off by why would you want to!

The colors are based on what instance a user uses, red and yellow for QOTO, white and blue for mastodon, gold and grey for Pleorma. The icon is the favicon used for the server and updated every few days.

Seems we have been holding steady on #QOTO with about 500 new users per week, 80 per day. Very exciting!

The pengrams I use when practicing a new script...

It is designed so each word has the letter it represents twice, once at the beginning and once in the middle (never at the end). I picked these words for a few reasons.

1) I always practice the capital form of the letter in the word
2) I always practice the lowercase form of the letter
3) I get to practice both the lead-in connector and the outgoing connector for the lowercase form (by virtue of now being at the end of the word)

I was actually surprised I didnt get some pushback from our users on the new instance tickers in our UI. Personally I love it but I expected a few people to complain. But literally everyone who registered an opinion said they loved it.

Though Rob is in the dark theme where it doesnt exist, so i guess he isnt a fan.
