Logic of Profit and Logic of Recycling are often 2 different things

So you might get what you wanted (cleaned bin) it wasn't necessarily what you need to be done (be taken care of or re-made cheaper) and */might/* also be burnt the same as you would in your garden but elsewhere at greater cost to even more.

You won't even get big bonfire's night in the village to burn all the excess stuff... Somebody else gets that lumping it all elsewhere faaar away...

Logic of and Logic of are often 2 different things. :ablobwink:

PARADOXES OF LIMITING CONSUMPTION (Capitalism vs "Humans Nature's" need to consume)

knows about , limiting charging money for every little thing... It creates and maintains supply and need also (sometimes even if you don't need it you pay!)...
Trying to sell more than save people perhaps induces this...

BUT the opposite is also problematic.

We can't except people to manage it by themselves or give it away for 'free' or as unrestricted resource because it will run out for naturally humans using up what seems abundant or infinite or endless (I believe this is true / tested it / observed it though many consume minimal too). If people don't _feel_ the urgency or penalty to ration then they might not... UNTIL THEY REALLY DO HAVE TO - MUCH LIKE DURING WAR TIMES WE SAVED AND DID SO MUCH BETTER IN MANY WAYS!) 🌱 🥛

Cost of everything... behind the scenes too... is not just taking rubbish away and aethetical relief. Also everything is for profit-logic it seems in the doing or not doing...

@clarity Some good points here for "how it was before" and some logic (for reuse/recycle and for-profit logic too using this as a material to profit from / or be illogical in the not having!)

I do wonder about the costs as all these truck and fuel go around if they are to burn things or use fuel into atmosphere... done domestically (if we reduced and did it only on a Saturday for example) then we would do the same burning ourself or in villages (traditionally for bonfires they did for sofas and hit it under which is a lot more honest in many ways and kids get a kick too)... the whole tech and massive machines puke inefficiency and ulterior motives...

Profit and recycling logic... Has to be profitable first and for them!...

@iaincollins @vfrmedia @clarity @lazerwalker
For me this "giving for doing good" and recycling gives back to give to others things also (not just back to nature or reuse) but in this case to comics or something else to buy in store ...

But ultimately "it will damage the economy" as they say as excuse not to do it because it is actually a kind of truth that it's more profitable this way mostly today to waste and for people to keep re-paying for each bottle of any material over and over rather than give back and occupy your shop's time and your time doing good things and MAINLY what that DOESN'T pay much anyone (yes the Good Karma Gods or just logic will thank you but not Government!)
MAINLY the tax per minute or GDP-type-of-metrics and measurement means those people would prefer you did other more taxable and profitable things for them (profit and logic.. in that way... tut tut... ).

@vfrmedia @clarity @lazerwalker
When I was a kid (in the 80s) in Scotland glass bottles for milk were the norm. Soda also came in glass and you got 15p or 25p for returning a bottle, enough to buy a comic.

They have been trying to restart deposit return here with Scottish government support but pro business (mostly) conservatives keep saying, hysterically, it will damage the economy.

Many states in the US have better recycling programs and also some countries in Europe for sure.

2/ YouTube makes most of their money from advertising on videos, so the driving goal is to get users to watch as many videos as possible.

When you have something others need or haven't got, you become more valuable... but after that they can just dump you...

When you have something others need or haven't got, you become more valuable.

I wrote this from living / working various places and feeling people dump each other when they don't need them.

Needing each other is constant, it doesn't go away when a person does. We need to manage that and give people more to do under better umbrellas so we don't get stuck with bad people!

People can make and manufacture this need too ( for example sold as ). So even though we could make it more equal and already produce things cheaply, we don't or it wouldn't help us if people dump each other when they don't need them.

Even though it's all with profit in mind (or schemes and scams) it could be with less profit, or more for something else like the next generations . 💌

Money loses about X% per year... I'm having a look...

We know "Inflation" is added from what Banks / Government say,,, but is it just Inflation at 2/3%?

Dollar loses about 2% a year

(will try find source, I could be wrong so this post is just to confirm we're losing...)

Pictures suggest dollar halves ever 20yrs but could be more not just as "Inflation" but added profit pricing to make "effective purchasing power" even more different as you try to purchase anything big... There are laws to keep bread etc mostly ok (to keep us alive just about) but not for real money makers:

like rent, housing, fuel, heating, gas etc which can sky rocket AT ANY TIME:

As we saw in 2023 winter prices with BritishGas "profits" amazingly high suddenly checkmating people, (this is a bit of speculation forgive me but probably not always relative-to-war prices and just pure profit happened many times in at least!)

Are you building for the wrong people / person?...

...at home / job / local bubble,,, ?

Ask yourself...

It's a regular occurrence and question I have written myself in puzzling 💠 things...

Is there real democracy and control given? Atmosphere good? Can you change it, even if exit is a last backup plan (but not running away always first?)

Doing for right people is important.

My notes before reflected when I needed to seek better company of friends or even parents - not that they are bad JUST THEY ARE NOWHERE NEAR... So sometimes that involves moving, not always since there is internet...

But eventually in physical proximity with better / real / inspiring people even if short-term - try for long-term worming your way in mutually!

@szescstopni Consider each happening again line by line and make provisions if could be better
(of course when you're in the mood- appreciate that it might not be now).

Ubuntu / Xubuntu install using Live USB + any ISO's

@Bashingom @omgubuntu Thanks, having a look at Xubuntu - Minimum spec lower but so far don't see actual difference with Ubuntu, LinuxMint / other versions... Maybe a comparison chart would be good (Wikipedia perhaps will have a look now).

Already got Ubuntu 18 LTS ~3GB and installed via Live USB install (USB ISO's in a dir so can run any OS without install + install if wanted with same GPart/Gnome partition etc tools available as usual!)

@omgubuntu
Do people recommend to upgrade / try V24 Ubuntu if running old desktop with 2GB RAM and pretty much bare-bones system?
