This next part from #Wikipedia show a mistake in thinking by Chris or just normal part of leaving and thinking that 'going back' is going to be any better than before... it's mostly the desperation we've had going back to #family mostly from a cold world and friends are not much better either.

Frankly because we're #desperate we think it's a good idea otherwise we would leave them to it because even after a nice time (or not, both ways) we have to move on and they reached their limits too probably in #life. So they usually are not for us (we don't choose our #parents probably).

Also many are unhealthy unwise people sometimes - and just natural in #unprogressive #society (deliberate #state #design) to spend too long if everyone is #UNthinking people (just followers).

So after feeling alone seems a good idea to go back but after a week or 2 isn't (again) hence this part of the story I think which would have been short lived anyway...

It's true about being a rich kid BUT this is ultimately proportional to understanding things or the right thing that happens that once people get rich or comfortable they want for more peace after and equality with change of slave-driven, war-torn worlds full of wars from #supermarket to #superpower countries muscling their weight and currency of debt everywhere...

I think everyone wants that but depends how desperate you are for money to be able to say it or go into old ways #IntoTheWild to try reclaim the ways being 'obsolete' and made increasingly ilegal just to be / live different. Similar to #Sterilisation of #Natives etc... but even just enjoy ourselves in a small sense is less and less possible now or less part of life itself when we're obviously needing nature and that atmosphere often.

It's so normal that although he could have done this or that with the money he knew it was toilet paper or bad stuff overall (and still is).
He knew why we're being forced onto and into these things and it's not healthy/

People choose not to share the world and even sell it for extortion effectively stealing it from future (#debt and #loans do exactly that as people look like they prosper while everything is being emptied out and re-sold for more in future).
All this happens to a point nobody can buy a house and negative maths takes over = negative society as the numbers are too while people ad more schemes to fill the black holes of profit never-endingly.

But anyway respect your view and just saying that on the steps to knowledge, love, sharing or ANYTHING it's totally normal to want to rise about feudal landlord style life which has proven costly and meaningless... and at the end without understanding / adding intelligence (keeping people dumb / hiding things deliberately) this is a morality issue of life underneath it all.

Words like "society" (he mentions in the pub a lot) and "morality" we are still working on what this means... and 100% money is not it and even opposite from thinking (perhaps promotes unthinking), so not even close to being responsible and putting it in the hands of fools which relabel it as #politics rather than just money making #profit.

Think of banks and who funds both sides of war etc...

The "Trolley Problem"

I always liked the theory of 'HOW things are done' a bit more than frankly the result or "unthinking" ways like...

...buying in the answer
...shipping it from somewhere else all the time...

The morality seems to suffer the same if you do not think and just go for the cheese or candy that inevitably 'someone else' has left there for a few reasons - not all of them freedom loving (or even shockingly aiming for the opposite!).

Here I discuss the morality of this theory in today's sense... but for more accuracy this is the wiki page reference of it...

So I like also the non-extreme ways of thinking and not forcing people into binary in just the binary sense, but I do think you do have to think more often than not!!!...

like 70%+ of the time..

So it's like saying think deeper more than don't !

IF you do only the immediate and short-term ways the results are effected long-term because you are not looking at the bigger picture or even what the others are doing and how/why/etc.

Of course we're born into the problems so it's hard not to already be in problems and jump into it from day 1 (like when you're 18 trying to find a job or even having a #passport and what that means) so we all learn how bad it is AFTER... read terms and conditions after... or even learn what the terms mean in #legalese...

So then it's learning and unlearning as you are unavoidably or highly probably going to do more harm or reach climactic problems by ignoring things especially when you do know or see it everywhere.

The morality and Trolley Problem are solved by long-term thinking..

and this equation....

So if you can get the message through more often then everyone is a winner even after short-term disasters which are often unavoidable as time for thinking and acting has already gone,

Hardships mean just by doing the #bad less often in a methodical way within loss and becomes better from people needing to learn better (but yes this luxury of increasing #intelligence has it's #costs or time and $energy)... but seems no other way.

Doing things too directly (skipping steps of thought) or less looking at your method (=learning bad habits) means people are going to DISPLACE THE COST or SHIFT SUFFERING involved and lose responsible / control.

So even in the #colonial sense or being supplied stuff, it's not feasible because people will reach unhappiness when losing control, losing understanding from why things are happening from their usage as it's unseen.

The Trolley Problem is usually about an over-simplified short-term scenario of death presented as "either a smaller group die or larger group die" (by switching the train tracks switch yourself) but to achieve actually a different result needs more than revisiting the same Trolley Problem situation over and over because things get worse in more areas if only doing that.

Life is undoubted a knock-on effect and connect to an eco-system we could work with more often (as a whole) instead of leaving everything to 'everyone else' (who is also thinking someone else has control or responsibility when it's really almost nobody!)

A SUMMARY OF ANOTHER KIND...

➡️ Humans learning a better way work long term

➡️ Not expecting a switch to solve it or even accepting "Trolley Problem" at all

For example everyone could spread the loss and lose together sharing the death in smaller way between more people AND solve it after a while like feeding people instead of profiting from them.

➡️ The short-minded choice *all the time* avoids responsibility and future children get the same problems happen and "the can is kicked further down the road" by current people avoiding responsibility.

➡️ Predicting the trolley problem (or even thinking of the trolley problem itself being a bad way to think) is better in the overall sense and reflects more to it in reality.

➡️ This predictive thinking of "doing better" and "I will improve this next time" by people I feel is what is missing from daily life. I admit it is often "enforced" by rules from past people but often this is just what parents tell us and can be a bit imaginary as a line we can't cross and may not even exist!

What we could do is break more smaller ones more often or test smaller rules as false fences of truth and what people think of a 'concrete' in the mind (a bit like Wizard of Oz not being a real thing and just a man behind a curtain).

➡️ Sometimes more than 'legal' 'illegal' definitions we see these things are only past people who try to put us in concrete binary definitions of "morality" which are clearly not because they often expect just people to follow and not debate or test things (it's usually purely for business what is legal and what is not).

➡️ When younger or as a family to defend each other's right to choice seems best to do it and learn why. Ok! Now go do it more often!

➡️ Don't be the person who would forget a problem and come across the same problem again later! #FreeSpeech etc!

➡️ Everything actually matters because it's the micro that adds to macro or larger blocks of life.

➡️ And you can't cheat (or else cheat yourself).

➡️ We all have to be responsible more often to solve these problems and have less of the #Trolley #mindset.

➡️ To die naturally happens and even that's from human-added choice (people want wars) so it's about the long-term habits and micro-choices which tie to principles that are going to solve it all or more often.

➡️ If not tied to principles or much more than going for the cheese then it seem you are constantly going to jump ships on fire and never going to improve your ship until all the ships are sunk.
Or worse get manipulated from shirking responsibility to control your own ship (your body or life).

➡️ SO THE PAST ALSO HELPS ACCEPT FUTURE LOSS... IF DON'T THE WRONG WAY ALREADY OR NOT ADAPTING TO CURRENT PEOPLE.

And if the past has made the long-term #unsustainable or less #sustainable (population increases from using #fertilizer and #fossilfuels) ignoring people's other needs of morality (another kind of happiness achieved even when poor) means further bad ways and more desperate ways to get that fuel, etc... like doing deals with #Russia (or whoever) - I mean didn't people get it after the Cold War or any war that you can't do deals with your Super-Power enemy!

➡️ So then we can only take the hit by going against or with the method as "a bit better" than repeating deals with the devils.
(E.G. REDUCE gas from Russia? Is a tough one but accepting we should use what we have better or on our own soil more often and gradually, more and more grow what we can ourselves relieves suffering to ourselves and others overall)... obviously not all $tates want this is another "onion skin of consideration" of which you might aim to #DIY energy and reduce it yourself.

I know that sounds 'too #humanitarian' but we have to do it for other #humans too else fall into the trap of doing it for the #money / #banks / #state control and trapping those that have lost control themselves completely.

#Hunting money or buying into other people's way also has it problems feeding #profit into what seem a black hole for spending on oppression and #war.

So that's why the 'best of worst scenarios' is to Do It Yourself while calculating / reducing / testing problems for a more educated pull of the switch (long-term - meaning many switches not just one trolley or train to think about for your life's quest!).

Involving other people into your life is what is missing to help solve all the small things you'll never do alone - that's the TLDR.

I also mention Richard Stallman and other examples along the way because I respect him (adn you) - but could anyone in any movement not do the people work and be successful...

You see why can't people do this ? It doesn't seem to take long. So in reply:

1/ I can accept the fear or lack of trust by others (your point 1. I think you were saying)... but it's also like "we're on the internet from a million miles away" so not much can happen unless you really send credit card details (and even that won't work anymore)

If people are (over)worried about AI to the level they ignore people or don't even ask... I could say that's end game for #humanity!

2/ I guess this 2nd point is the answer. People are not prepared to do it... almost 0.

And so what we get in life are more Trumps accordingly and leaving it almost for the to take over as nobody else has their own agency other than following others. We need them or expect them not to take the temptation of "look nobody is driving this train, I should do it".

3/ Sure more than 7min reading is fine but also other ways can help do it in 2mins like speed-reading, looking at my hashtags only (I use hashtags as a way for users to skip-read down) etc - they could be done also but I guess we're pushing the level needed just to actually read nowadays and bond (it's not only about time BY technique as this point 3.). And maybe people are disposable and so why remember each other even if I am useful or vice-versa ?!
