On holiday in a location with poor phone signal, I am now rendered unable to use my bank account. Every time they send me a 2FA code, it takes so long to arrive that my session expires before I can enter it.
Most banks in the UK require a phone number in order to authenticate, and my bank requires all 2FA to go over text. I don't know if this is still true with mobile apps, but those have their own problems.

I mean if you added more from your side why not, it would make more sense or give more balance. But just leaving most a website is just going to lead them to that which you don't agree with (if I'm somewhat right about that).

Old things seem to be stronger (maybe) because of mentality of design at the time / what they had to work with / more metal-based orientation (weight yes but strong chassis) / less plastic-based design / less faff to go wrong / more stock templates etc and drivers that have time invest / history...

And the whole "1 thing doesn't work therefore it's too much hassle" could also be considered a word (also escapes me) but the "hassle" people consider should be part of normal "repair" and doing their bit instead of buying new... things like people not even trying is beyond me (as if things were supposed to last forever / never be subject to wear and tear or stress of plugging in and out).
It's true on the other side less people maybe are doing repair work and things got cheaper? But most things even to buy new as components are worth a try / gamble at #DIY repair. #DIYrepair
