When you're married to a hopeless romantic and you ask if they'd prefer something silly or soft for today's post, well, this is what you get.

I sketched this out months ago and finally got around to finishing it. Experimented with some textures in Procreate and, surprise surprise, I've still got a ton to learn with this whole “arting”! 😂

Attack means many more types of control in today's modern tactics... Some examples of how subtle it is + The people really need to do it themselves slowly and accept imperfection and just start NOW and get better...

@Hyolobrika @gabriel
[re-rewritten]

Without going to many of the possible extremes, Hyolobrika, the whole thing of "what", "who" and "how" people attack has totally being changed itself for a more civilised subtle-physical attack sometimes - attack itself has changed now in meaning *and* it's definition into much less physical mechanisms and usage of more tools. Even paperwork for example or virtual entities to hide liability.

In short all the economy is an attack (like from royal down or elite down) which is so hard to blame on anyone if not seen from top and people in the middle rolling over saying yes / accepting money to act as yes / no gates all the way down the waterfall of decision made and the bottom propping it up.

So a lot is from physical attack FORMATION (or it's accumulation of subtle changes that leads to physical attacks in a chain and ends user having enough of the chain as freedom fighter or whatever). We all had enough I'm hearing.

And people doing these way *know* it and keep turning the screw (tightening controls).... and using the people in between to claim it's not them - FUUUCK!

"No me! I didn't cause the blood" any banker might say supplying money to both sides in Africa...
their hands are CLEAN !

The final blows and rage by whatever faction or individual funded or unfunded is result of giving or not by Western banks or in general governments as they are ALL STEALING / NOT GIVING BACK AND ALL BUT REDUCING MONEY, WORK LIKE OXYGEN PEOPLE NEED.

ATTACK AND PRESSURES are more obscure now as something like "remote siphoning using control points through others working for bosses and banks" . The type of types of attacks and extraction "The English" were amazing at the little shit of a country it was controlling 50-60% of the world at one point.

Money as low vale and devaluation, robbing of people - *anyone* would eventually start to riot and attack since a cruel game of musical chairs (chairs are taken away) NOBODY CAN WIN and as such DEBT can't be paid back (more debt then money every minute goes by is like taking away chairs)

These are things are hard to fight as it's so distant and gradual (with big jumps also well done by current cheaters) and so seems lots of unknown people applying the same cheating system fucking it for what they can as they is the game, jobs keeping things going for the normal more honest people... as the top takes massive slices if not near-everything just to avoid keeping people dying at work (literally sent home to sleep or die and then come back like soldiers in the morning).

All subtle and in mass quantities. All "really bad" or "awful" but just under the old styles of torture so we can't complain anyone dies as all of us are dying in total much more than shooting a few people... so stuff like this is yet another technique for those attacking peasant class or just everyone else because you know it's all of them cheating you from bank to your employers to government orchestrating it and pretending they don't have enough money.

The changes accumulate over time until it lands on some of us - exactly like not having enough chairs in the game of life, every year less music and less chairs.

I know also some people even can destroying chairs in order to get to the end quicker, but it would be better if they sat and thought about it as the solution to all this is literally to give back 'chairs' slowly as they were taken and deny system / government taking a large % of everything in the process... in short something towards love but really a conveyor belt thought seeing where our heat and love for life ISN'T STOLEN / POORLY EXCHANGED (ALL THE TIME). I'm say we still use system but not all-in as we are now with most people and literally evangelise another belief about what money is and about what love/respect is (it's not just sex or "my family and fuck yours")

Debates and arguments only work with those willing to change, that is also a type of passive-aggressive force itself to realise when people listen BUT HAVE 0 WANT TO CHANGE. That's almost all bosses so we really need to promote ourselves as boss from lack of choice and not complain to each other too much BUT HELP MUTUALLY AND WITH LOGIC+LOVE.

Which is why I'm still hell-raising for a help system or of sorts. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohm_Dia

#Chess as in #Life - Encouraging Others to Qut more than Help Learn...

as in - Encouraging Others to more than Learn

People don't really want to teach you or let you take back a move,
they just want to win.
And then keep hammering you until you quite resign.

I think that sums up people in life who can't see past winning together, by learning.

In life it's not that easy to just resign but in Switzerland you can pay to quit :) Well sometimes it is better to quit bad games, and with this encroaching "pay more per move" in life and rent slavery - paying to quit the casino is perhaps the only exit.

@collectedoverspread If I can re-word what you said, to make it as another perspective which is my view of the real problem (still sharing your core sentiment):

"The fact that USERS BUY INTO as a commercial service annoys me greatly. Should something as basic as a single-page site with a bunch of links really be outsourced to an outside service?"

Basically this applies to everything (even Fediverse now as it's normalising as a Twitter also)
1/ it's the users that are the weakest link
+ Answer1: need to educate +
+ Answer2: we the admins need to restructure and MAKE IT more our business (in the many meanings of that)
2/ if we don't make interacting with people the main activity (levelling them up or even giving them free alternative links) we've lost or only delayed these fish that just flop into things (some willingly but some that don't care could be pushed into 'flopping' at least here rather than there.

Users are the weakest link mostly... Need to make it more interactive and direct so as we talk (not just work) about everything it upgrades their brain (the firmware!)...

It's not just about Free Fediverse or web space either - it's political on many levels - and sometimes the supplies do 0 of that because they don't want to talk to people or more fiddle endlessly with computers once etc is all setup.

✊ May the people work (talking) commence and the commerce be curtailed together.

What do you think on that?

Culture war (transgender)

"I won't speak for the conservative critics who don't believe trans people are real. I think one of the main concerns among the liberal critics is the conflict between multiple frames of trans acceptance." old.reddit.com/r/IntellectualD

The portion about the second frame/paradigm is worth highlighting. If we don't want to limit the concept of transgender to those who experience gender dysphoria (which I don't), then I think we need to consider that just *maybe* gender identities, including transgender identities, are influenced by societal concepts of gender including, yes, gender roles. And I do recognize that that conflicts with the ideal of removing gender roles and stereotypes, but until we live in some sort of "post-gender" society this is going to be a point of contention.

From another comment in the thread: "Anyway, that's about 8 paragraphs of saying, 'I think we're reinforcing stereotypes here'." old.reddit.com/r/IntellectualD

🇺🇸 America online 🇺🇸 As extension of American practices itself... ❗Beware❗

Beware of America accounts and America online, because it's an extension of American practices itself...

Like if Facebook was calling at your door asking for heaps of info... would you let them in? Perhaps back then when you didn't know how to upload photos on your on site... but won't you reconsider now about the decision to let them in?

Basically - Do you ?
Like the practices of and it's colourful (recent and past)?

⭐ Disclaimer: Understandably this is too short as a post and can be obscure - but honestly would you let in a person asking for so much info from a warring company abroad and isn't that quite the same practices they do with info and adverts but the online version behind your back?

Reasoning vs. Expectations...

Logical reasoning often fails in situations where prior expectations of "goals" come in conflict with "reality" and "how people felt then and now"...

(Basically people didn't care how you felt then or now, and care only in the now about what did or didn't happen because of some expectation or unreasonable / unrealistic goal[s])

TLDR: Shit changes. And so should mentality of bosses!

Logical vs. ...

----------------------

Title inspired by “Language models also perform imperfectly on logical reasoning tasks and more often fail in situations where humans fail—when stimuli become too abstract or conflict with prior expectations.”

Language models, like humans, show content effects on reasoning tasks

Misunderstandings from time passing and change in the state of things, different contexts...

Misunderstanding often comes from not having the present context understood well enough.

Being in the past somewhat even though it was not long ago.

Like an argument about something that already changed or isn't the case any more, was temporary.

When changes happen and you are in an older or previous state.

Having only one perspective can make it look different too.

These can all cause self-conflict.

So it's good to check with people and increment all the same time AND AT THE SAME TIME keeping distance because things can change frequently and not triggering yourself to act too fast or frequent.

Knowing when to check and when to do nothing or something is very important for working together.

Killing people - The theory of killing people because they stop progress...

A sensitive topic hence the CW as disclaimer but I think there is a few good points here.

1. Establishments / Groups Killing people or people's ideas:

TLDR; Groups invest money and legal ways to chop people's heads or stick them in a locked cell.

The theory of killing people comes usually from people who want to keep things the same and don't want progress or disobedience... So groups and establishments that is a permutation of the same "I don't want to change" thinking or "I don't entertain change, you do as you're told I'm the authority".

2. Individual

Take social media - a person has really bad logic, let's say it's provable and / or they are not interested in the truth.... this can really generate hate against them (and maybe they want that to get attention) but the thought of killing them (by others being almost abused by them) become quite the same as point #1 that "those people are a problem, we should kill them". With individual there is a lot more possibility to reason with them rather than a fictitious authority or badge at the gate - but still people can choose to block progress and not listen to reasoning.

It's like someone calling you a retard for a long period - in the end you have to sort of "answer their call" and end that in some way! Blocking them maybe, but in the old days you'd wack them hard with wood or something that perhaps the modern day civilised and you can't do even to a constructive level of "give me my space and respect, leave me alone"

So with the reverse reasons individuals who aren't interested in playing fair or progress, death by the old ways of balancing things?

I almost have to agree IF there are real JUSTICE (balance of many thoughts, logic, care etc) even though I dislike and killing anything...

This highlights there are basically people 'killing; ideas or progress or 'killing 'truth' indirectly and that is almost the same as directly when at such a constant and higher level (think of constant bullies for years making misery to so many, abusive parents....)

Perhaps try some reform, some real work like therapy circles, training, courses... else kill them?

Maybe legally that's being done by being put in prison but still doesn't really solve it or do the proper training....

And final thought, life is a kind of death either way (we're dying) so there's a certain amount of suffering and death in learning between us.... but there is 100% a distinction with those that want for destruction / can't stand themselves or others... and that is like a cancer - perhaps to be cut out, perhaps healed... but usually never allowed to wreck the shop.

Olena Lyashchenko died in Kryvyi Rih on July 8, 2024. The russian army hit the Metinvest enterprise with a missile, killing 10 people. The woman worked there as an accountant.

Elena was 44 years old. She loved to travel. She liked to spend time in the country, in the circle of relatives and friends. Recently, she also did manicures, which she did well.

"Olenochka was very responsive, frank, sociable and sincere! She never left anyone in trouble. Even when I had piles of papers and stacks of reports left on my desk, she silently took half to herself and helped. She approached everything very diligently. It became gloomy without her...", said a close friend Yuliya Matvienko.

Elena is survived by her parents, husband, daughter and sisters.

Decision Making in a Group #Quotes #Notes from #Essay

Really enjoyed reading.
Sources and links at the end.

Decision Making in a Groups

⭐ "The goal of the process was consensus, to find a solution that everyone could live with, even if it was imperfect."

⭐ "By failing to weigh their options judiciously, groups consider only a fraction of the space of possible solutions"

⭐ "People may be bullied by their superiors or feel that they risk ostracism from their peers. Important information is left unspoken."

⭐ "At the other end of the spectrum, groups can fail by fragmentation."

⭐ The Ju/’hoansi are careful not to entrust key decisions to single individuals or small sub-groups. Leadership is temporary and knowledge-based, shifting even within a single conversation.

⭐ Leaders refrain from stating their opinions early in the conversation, which could bias the opinions of others who have yet to speak.

⭐ The Ju/’hoansi are not culturally diverse, but their permissiveness of individual differences means their groups are functionally diverse. The social norm of widespread participation ensures the free and open exchange of information, reducing the likelihood of an information cascade.

⭐ Repressed opinions, it was said, could cause sickness.

⭐ There was a norm that discouraged rampant speculation: when someone said that children could be killed by fires, an old man said that people should only speak when they have seen things happen. One man was laughed at for his gullibility when he said that he had heard that elephants would bury their babies up to their necks.

⭐ So democracy and science are closely allied in the people’s minds, and closely govern how decisions are made.’

MY COMMENT: Bu what about things of the heart or overall viewpoint of "What's happening to nature / people around us?"

⭐ ‘the band is reluctant to come to decision under the sway of strong feelings: if discussion becomes too angry or excited, debate is temporarily adjourned by the withdrawal of the attention to the calmer participants until things cool down.’

⭐ he found that point-scoring ultimately played little role in the ultimate decision

⭐ The idea of sparring orators dealing knockout blows would be anathema to the Ju/’hoansi. A knockout blow is self-defeating, like punching oneself in the face.

⭐ As the anthropologist David Graeber explained in Possibilities (2007):

If there is no way to compel those who find a majority decision distasteful to go along with it, then the last thing one would want to do is to hold a vote: a public contest which someone will be seen to lose. Voting would be the most likely means to guarantee the sort of humiliations, resentments, and hatreds that ultimately lead the destruction of communities.
Instead, discussion continues until a consensus is reached.

MY COMMENT: Indefinitely? Surely someone will concede to save time.

⭐ t is not merely the actual result of the decision that counts, but the process itself. Everyone must attend to what Silberbauer calls the social balance-sheet. The social balance-sheet is no less than the promise of future cooperation, perhaps the most important thing in the life of a hunter-gatherer.

MY COMMENT: Also not easy to show up for everything and work, unless this is almost the work itself. Hmm...

⭐ Aboriginal populations of the western Australian desert. Each day starts with the Morning Discourse, in which people take turns voicing concerns, thoughts, ideas. Each comment builds on the previous.
Rather than each person expressing views as an individual, it is almost as if the group is talking through each individual.

⭐ Understanding the Ju/’hoansi mode of communication from a modern perspective requires investigating the nature of dialogue. The word ‘dialogue’ is derived from the Greek ‘dia’ (through) and ‘logos’ (word or meaning), and is often translated as ‘a flow of meaning’.

⭐ dialogue is ‘a shared inquiry, a way of thinking and reflecting together. It is not something you do to another person.

⭐ Contrast this with debate, the root of which comes from the Old French word debatre – ‘to fight’.

MY COMMENT: Or "to battle" maybe also.

⭐ To Bohm, dialogue helps to establish a shared common understanding between individuals. It would mean abandoning assumptions, not clinging so tightly to our opinions, and doing a lot of listening.

⭐ ‘nobody is trying to win … we are not playing a game against each other, but with each other. In a dialogue, everybody wins.’

⭐ Looking at scans of brain activity before and after the discussion period, the researchers discovered that brain activity aligned after the discussion. As with the Morning Discourse, the students were thinking together.

⭐ Bohm believed that dialogue to be an ancient mode of communication, arguing that communities with coherent meaning probably existed ‘in some groups in the primitive Stone Age conditions’.

⭐ One Ju/’hoan said: ‘We never wanted to represent our communities: that was a white people’s idea’

⭐ the Ju/’hoansi have favoured cooperative institutions that tap into their deep history as decision-makers.

⭐ Amid the crackle and pop of a Pleistocene campfire, under the anonymity of darkness, our ancestors began to think as one. In that moment, we became political animals, the first and only species in the history of the world to grasp how its own collective intelligence could be made and unmade.

⭐ We should be gentle with ourselves about the magnitude of our challenge because hunter-gatherers have it easier

⭐ Jason Brennan, who wrote: ‘Human beings are wired not to seek truth and justice but to seek consensus … They cower before uniform opinion.’

⭐ With a unified approach to a common goal, along with norms that encourage free and open expression and diverse viewpoints, it is in everyone’s interest to seek the truth.

⭐ similar values and conceptions of the world, their world is smaller, their range of choice narrower

⭐ Success comes from material interdependence, common purpose and shared meaning.

⭐ don’t get heated, detach ideas from ego, put yourself in others’ shoes, listen. And always speak your mind.
