@FantasticalEconomics

I'm gonna make a much much less drastic claim. And that is, in a democratic society, a market for exchange with a medium of accounting will appear.

That's it. That's not capitalism. It took me nearly 50 years to understand and distinguish between the two because of all the propaganda. Capitalism isn't "selling things" it isn't "markets" it's "a political system in which the government is willing to exert violence to protect ownership claims to the receipt of rents"

#Legal #Wins for #ClimateChange = Village for trees / forests 🌲 🌳 + Youth argument for having no voting rights to influence future...

1990's first known cases, led by Antonio Oposa, a Philippine lawyer that represented a class-action suit of 43 students against the Philippine government to protect a forest surrounding their village.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juliana_

Among their arguments, the youths' attorneys asserted that

1/ the lack of governmental action on climate change discriminated against the youths' generation, since they would be most impacted by climate change but

2/ have no voting rights to influence things...

Oposa had won the suit, which led to numerous other lawsuits around the world.[5] As of July 2018, there were over 1,000 such lawsuits filed across 24 countries, with 888 of those within the United States.[6]

BEST AND WORST SLOGAN?...
====================

Nicholas Goldberg described MAGA as both one of the worst campaign slogans ever and "a fabulous campaign slogan", writing:

💬 "It was vague enough to appeal to optimists generally, while leaving plenty of room for bitter and resentful voters to conclude that we were finally going back to the days when they ran the world."

1998 first usage?
Author Octavia E. Butler used "Make America Great Again" as the presidential campaign slogan for the dictator Andrew Steele Jarret in her 1998 dystopian novel, Parable of the Talents.

Originally used by Ronald Reagan as a campaign slogan in his 1980 presidential campaign (Let's Make America Great Again)

Blame others - it's ok after trying! Measure it and have BLAME constructively after trying! People were never truely into cooperate... all talk / can't push through doubt

The same negative / luke-warm patterns (never going to swim but talking about it all the time).

People who twist what someone says or label them too early are also more to blame than anyone else try to explaining and stay in conversation longer towards understanding and providing more information than less.

I'm talking genuine people.

At the end people need to accept they might be different (as basic as that seems, that seems to be needed to remind people) and keep finding better focus like hopping on better stones together. Not just OMG you're still using Windows... so I can't talk to you. Find out why even but do move on...

People tend to find land-mines and step on them almost like self-baiting themselves without realising THAT is the big problem.

More is better I think in terms of info / trying (and learning to filter / cherry pick comes with it in time as well as those controlling themselves if too unleashed)

Less writing is only going to rear it's head later possibly and at the worst point in time if communication isn't practised to understood / balanced in each other.

✅ People are consistently not very good
but
☑️ if you are the one focussing on the better things then it almost doesn't matter people are not very good above a certain communication standard because you continue a healthy ping pong and get better - that's all !

☑️ It's usually the others if they are negative and unconstructive / destructive.

Fediverse could be more caring of people as a "system" but isn't yet since existing people also are not orientated that way (at least online) and also a bit flakey let's say and can't do / trust much... like being afraid of one's own shadow 👥 or imperfections.

So Mastodon is great - it is a step UP from "just another" "system" and better without advertising etc. But needs the people directly involved also to save Mastodon in a way when it has no money...

Next level is the caring by admins supporting users to do their own things they like EVEN MORE

As a circular economy in many senses - creativity / allowing creative ways to promote ourselves / encouraging finances for servers / advertising like-minded project just like Mastodon (like Invidious) and beyond....

If we don't we kind of naturally die out or need Venture Crapitalism...

More systems = less human ways ?

Systems cut out human sides like their attributes / creative sides of people / interaction between them.

Since systems tend to be more robotic or digital driven (1 or 0 on screens, devices etc), they tend to be virtual and less human? ?

More systems = less directly human ways ?

#Answers Accepting humans are imperfect in any 'system"

Accepting "imperfection" in any system accepts humans are imperfect.

Systems tend to be mechanical or digital driven so in any system this tends to cut out humans almost completely (unless you allow it as part of "bringing back humanity" into work like extra communication, creativity etc).

Accepting creativity / difference in speech / language etc mean on has to almost allow everything while keeping the main things going (not finding and policing smaller problems all the time).

(Stealing etc is still bad so not that but I mean other real stuff.)

Non-genuine stuff yes you can police and cut out - but genuine people being different - this needs to be accepted and incorporated always in any 'system' that tends to be robotic / non-human.

More systems = less humanity ?

"Keyboard Christian" - A term I have coined for people that work on and with computers only - not much effort otherwise.

A regularly disappointing in the religious sense of claiming they are Christian without getting anything together or progress of the human kind.

Sub-notes:
1. Usually good computer coders.

2. Might even know their religion quite well but essentially can't put it into practice since talking with humans is always different / imperfect

3. They fall into faults finding instead of accepting humans and human communication is not perfect (not like computers as one way or as clear / perfect robotic syntax and grammar according to what they like).

I think the fact that people like this exist, and yet we have to choose between people like Trump and Biden demonstrates just how corrupt a system we live in. We don’t choose who is elected, we just choose between two pawns that ultimately have no interest in honesty whatsoever.

Let’s be real this is one of the primary reasons Bernie Sanders got the shaft. The second he publicly criticized support for Israel, it was over.

What do you do when every decision is money-based or heavily decided on a monetary basis?

✅ Talking about it is good as if you're willing to solve it.

✅ Start enriching your life together with the right people

(can you find anyone on Fediverse?)...

When "money" is a tool for extraction, you must predict the same crap is happening and instead at least start on enriching your life together with the right people- RIGHT NOW!...

"Money" is a tool for extraction and devalues the total as more money is loaned out... your work, your life and other people's goes to Banks and Gov as profit mostly... Need to change that 'balance' !

"Money" is a tool for extraction - like a Bank is a shop on the high street offering you to buy / pay for money (and then spend it thinking you have more)/

Extraction is what David Graeber should of had in his names of his ! 📖 He did have "Value" but "Devalue" of negative words in titles would have been better - "Money as Debt" is a good example by

Extraction from people and DEvalues everything from everyone according to how many loans are being taken out (the day you enter using money has even more loans taken and that is almost like fake money thus diluting existing money so you need to keep trying to get more while it devalues!).

Talking about it is good as if you're willing to solve it. DM's welcome.

ABOUT GRAEBER
Graeber married artist Nika Dubrovsky in 2019.[84] The two collaborated on a series of books, workshops, and conversations called Anthropology for Kids[85] and on the Museum of Care, a shared space for communication and social interactions nourishing values of solidarity, care, and reciprocity. According to Graeber's website, "The main goal of the Museum of Care is to produce and maintain social relationships."[86] The concept "museum of care" was coined by Graeber and Dubrovsky in their article "The Museum of Care: imagining the world after the pandemic", originally published in "Arts of the Working Class" in April 2020.[87] In the article, Graeber and Dubrovsky imagine a post-pandemic future, where vast surfaces of office spaces and conservative institutions are turned into "free city universities, social centers and hotels for those in need of shelter". "We could call them 'Museums of Care' – precisely because they are spaces that do not celebrate production of any sort but rather provide the space and means for the creation of social relationships and the imagining of entirely new forms of social relations.

DEATH FROM CO-VID ?
===============
"Graeber died suddenly from necrotic pancreatitis[89] on September 2, 2020, while on vacation with his wife and friends in Venice.[90] Graeber died during the COVID-19 pandemic and instead of a funeral, his family organized an "Intergalactic Memorial Carnival" of livestreamed events that took place in October 2020.[91] His wife, Nika, attributed the pancreatitis to COVID-19, pointing to his prior good health, strange symptoms they both had for months beforehand, and the connection scientists have found between COVID-19 and pancreatitis.
