I must say, my early life crisis has transitioned quite nicely into a midlife crisis. Very pleased with that :)

What if freemo is a strong AI actually...?

I think he is not... if he is ...I would be more attached to him.

(I am very easy to crazily attach to that kind of stuff)

Yep the UK government bill for this is the, same. I think it's going to shut down Independance for Scotland. Its going to infringe heavily on civil liberties. No way are they going to give the power back. Look at Roman History with Sulla and Julius Ceasar. Elizabethan times as well. Public emergency is a great way to shut down and restrict your populace.

In the days of uncertainty and fear, please share something that made your day today :))

I'll go first: I got to be home with my family after 10 weeks of school.

I disagree. Free speech by definition only protects one's expression of opinion. It does not, however, protect how you express that opinion, nor does it protect non-opinion assertions.

For example it does not protect lies.

It does not protect hate speech

It does not protect calls to action

It does not protect inciting violence.

I hope everyone is doing well. If your job gave you the ability to work from home, use this as an opportunity to show them how much more productive you can be without having to come into an office. Don't prove their fears that people they can't see aren't working. Silver lining might be more remote working positions... :)

@iankenway The UK is in a tough position. They have been struggling with a horrific economy for some time. Pre-brexit seeing wage mobility no better than america and mean wages 25% - 40% less than america. Now post brexit who knows, but it was a response, largely, to the suffering economy and a desperate act to recover the economy (whether it will achieve that or not is a matter of debate).

Now we have COVID-19 something that is causing a huge hit to the economy, something the UK really couldnt afford right now. Its no surprise they are in a bit of denial thinking that if they keep things running, even if that means people get sick quicker, at least it wont hurt the economy. Not saying that a proper response, but I'm just saying the way the UK is responding is not surprising given the pressures they are facing.
