@kyleha
Just as Fox News harped on Obama using teleprompters, but then shut up about it when Trump did the same thing...

Just about everyone stumbles in giving their speeches, at least Biden had the cognitive difference to realize WHEN he stumbled or mispronounced and corrected himself instead of the Trump chopped word salad.

#OpenAI responds to the #Elon suit with a blog post. Which, honestly, might be more appropriate than it seems.

As far as people go, I *get* that in some cases the jurisdiction they live in will not let them change their government name. But that move is against their will. I'll respect any trans or non-binary person's name to committing to a name they want to be called.

It is not a deadname until you stop using it (The exception: When you're legally prevented from doing so).

I will stop "deadnaming" Twitter when the domain twitter.com no longer works or redirects.

There is nothing legally preventing Elon Musk from cutting off the name Twitter, so it is decidedly NOT a deadname. He keeps it for the ad revenue to come in, and thus, has chosen to not deadname it.

Manchin and Sinema are two big reasons why we couldn't have nice things. Good riddance to both.

If there actually was some Illuminati-level conspiracy to remove the weakest people from the gene pool, convincing the absolute dumbest people not to vaccinate their kids would be a pretty solid way to get that done.

@freemo Well he said "with no drawbacks" so we know that eliminates the baseball bat to the printer fix from Office Space.

@tkinias
I'm still using old.reddit.com with the Reddit enhancement suite plug in which I can left mouse hold and drag images larger to see them.
@Fury

@itnewsbot 1.8 million is nothing compared to the billions lost in the 2008-2009 stock market caused housing bubble crisis... and there has yet to be ANYONE held accountable for that, over 15 years later.

@QOTO Recognizing all your hard work. I'm sure it isn't easy running a large mastodon instance on what's probably a mostly thankless job. So, on that note... thank you. It is certainly appreciated.

Update: So we're going for a house that has said decorative fireplace. At least the realtor for the listing was honest and didn't try photoshopping in some fire.

Growing up, I my schools never made any kind of observance about day 100. My kids go to different schools and each school makes a big deal out of it now, and they're schools near where I used to attend.

A typical school year is 180 days, why did they start making a big deal out of 100 days? It's past the half point, which I think would be more of a milestone than some arbitrary number picked out because it happens to be the first third digit day.

The skin of your laundry pods dissolve in the washing machine, right?

They dissolve into microplastic.
And wastewater treatment systems have no way to filter that out so the microplastics go straight into streams and the ocean.

Just pour your laundry soap out of a box or bottle.

In her latest unhinged rant, Nikki Haley now says "Texas can secede if that's what it's voters want."

Okay, let's do the math on that.

If Texas secedes:
•Texas loses $68.2B in Federal aid
•GOP loses 2 US Senate seats, Dems lose 0
•GOP loses 27 US House seats, Dems lose 11
•Dems win permanent control of US House, US Senate, & White House

MAGAs never think these things through, do they? They don't care about the Constitution or national unity—only uninhibited power.

Vote GOP Out Permanently.

@bblaze

If Republicans had no problem deploying NG troops to Iraq and Afghanistan, then they should have no problem mobilizing them for Federal use. The border is a Federal responsibility, not the state.
