Hey bro, there's a bunch of common sense diagnostics you can do to determine problems. Lower your screen resolution, if performance speeds up, it's a graphics issue. Load an application, and then close it, load it again, if the second time is much much faster, then it's a storage issue.
Also take a moment to understand what Windows does to gain speed, it will pre-cache applications that are frequently run into ram to speed their performance up. From Windows 8 and up they minimalized the UI to improve rendering. These things can be implemented in Gnome/KDE as well.
But most importantly remember this, as a perfectionist, once it's configured perfectly, you'll find a reason to screw it up again to give your life meaning and fill the existential void that is our perception of living before you die. To add to your existential computer crisis, even if you're not a perfectionist, the above still applies.
I can also recommend a more holistic approach, you can decrease your glucose and caffeine consumption until your brain slows down, as this occurs, the computers performance will increase through relativity.
@admitsWrongIfProven Well I'm one of those all things in moderation people. I find myself liberal. I agree that there's climate change, and that people should have the rights to believe whatever they like. I also understand the comfort of community, to feel supported or be part of something greater than one's self. I think there's nothing wrong with being conservative or liberal. But both sides seem to over step their boundaries both politically, and socially these days when it comes to their views. On the liberal side: enforcing people to accept the plethora of genders and identities should be a preference and not a requisite. Health care is too expensive but mandating people pay for it with penalty if not is an extreme. On the conservative side, taking away people's right to decide on abortions, would be a good example there. Both sides are not moving towards a more free society, yet a more controlled society in their preference. There seems to be no community for moderates. While Qoto is actually one of the most moderate I've seen, it's still slightly left in general. I've been wandering from country to country the past 8 years and I'm fascinated by when I subtract cultural attributes from different places, what is the human nature that remains. Also meeting people online from different places and subtracting their online persona from their real persona to see what they project about themselves to the net. Getting an idea of who they wish they were. Some people are pretty identical but most are quite different. I'd given up on humanity some time ago, so now I'm examining in great detail what exactly I'm giving up, and what the chain of causality is that led to today's world. Upon traveling the world and the internet I've definitely found some gems. I treasure them more than gems.
@admitsWrongIfProven Well I'm kind of fascinated by Qoto, I would have guessed a community of academics would be more middle of the road however they seem to be leaning far left in generality. I stay away from the federated timeline, it gives me anxiety 😂
@admitsWrongIfProven Lol, I don't mean spy stuff, I mean a community of academics 🙂
@admitsWrongIfProven When you say people not mentally handicapped.. do you mean like the handicap in golf that adjusts for the average of previously played games, or the definition that is generally accepted as a disability?
@freemo hmm polygorithmic settings or a tunable algorithm would be awesome
@trinsec yeah she's gotta better mustache than me 😊
@ErikJonker
Seems to be working a lil better than bard
@Baley that's like trying to achieve a better relationship than cigarettes and coffee.. or ya know anything that's chemically powered by a word that ends with "ine".. not a fair comparison 😂😢
@Baley why does it really matter though unless someone is a position of authority?
@ProfT there's a pretty big stigma on soccer moms, huge on motorcyclists, tuners, exotics, old people.. just keep safe and aware bro, the amount of smart people keeps declining, don't need to lose more. 👍
@Baley ooooh I'm jealous.. but I'm currently murdering donuts 😐
@skyblond Java is a great language.. expansive capabilities, I use node out of laziness 😂
I'm an aspiring human being who loves all things logical and clean. I love programming and analytics. I also like dairy products and surfing. Although they're not clean. So I guess I'm a hypocrite too. I extrapolate when I'm bored. I've been told I should contribute more to society, so if you feel you can improve my understanding of anything, please do so.
