Being an Open Source maintainer sometimes feels more like being a kindergarten teacher rather than a developer, what with having to resolve community disputes, stopping people from galloping off into the sunset with wrong assumptions, putting bandaids on bruised egos and all of that 😅

I went to #VinoKilo today, this international traveling #vintage clothes sale that advertises itself as fast-fashion free and high-end, and it felt like a bit of a scam: around 50% of clothes were made of acrylic or polyester, and around 5% did come from fast fashion brands. Finding a sweater *not* made of oil was a challenge. 😮💨

I once had to fix a program in 370 Assembler language.
The variables were called
INT001,INT002, …
FLO001,FLO002, …
CHR001,CHR002, …
…
To be fair, there was a comment where they were declared to say what they were used for, though some were dual purpose to save memory.
The programmer did not sign their work.
I still remember and 🤬, 40 years later.
