To celebrate the Kickstarter for Shift Happens going well, I thought I would show you 50 keyboards from my collection of really strange/esoteric/meaningful keyboards that I gathered over the years. (It might be the world’s strangest keyboard collection!)

How could I not participate in #SuperbOwlSunday .😉

A tiny #PygmyOwl for your enjoyment. These little guys are about the size of a sparrow and are #diurnal #owls rather than #nocturnal.

Zoom wanted everyone to know that as cute and dainty as she looked standing on a mushroom, she's also really fast!

Surfing @ActionRetro ’s 68k.news on my Atari Falcon030 and keeping up with the events of the day.

Today was quite warm – around 3°C – but this ice is very strong, and even if it broke there's no more than 30 cm of water under us. And we're just a few hundred metres from our warm house.

W usually cannot walk among those trees – most of the time the ground is flooded. So the only chance is either when the water freezes, or when we have a very dry summer. Unfortunately the latter happens more frequently now.

Some very unglamorous weeding and tidying at the #allotment today, but look, the raspberries are coming back to life too. Can’t wait to see what a week of milder weather brings.

(Apart from more weeds, obviously 😉)

Bruno, the oldest and wisest of the whole pack, doesn't think it's a good idea to walk on ice.

I was looking at lichen yesterday when suddenly one of them started moving around across the moss 😱

I was so flabbergasted I couldn't properly focus on it but still got this short clip before it rolled up in a ball and played dead. #nature is really strange sometimes.

Today is probably the last day we can walk on frozen wetlands meadows near our house. Coming days will bring rain and higher temperatures and then we'll have to wait weeks before everything here dries.

this time last year I was hunting for coral fossils in the River Ribble. momentarily disorienting to come across coral on the Thames foreshore this morning. scooped up from some far distant beach. carried here as ships ballast. the coral of empire. I mean, it was also disorienting finding coral in the Ribble, in Yorkshire. especially as it was local. the sea above it having been displaced by deep time. finding coral in rivers is admittedly a pretty niche hobby. but here we are. #mudlarking

Ok. So. Today is that day when some athletes quest for Superman's Bowl while ornithologists seek a Superb Owl and we celebrate with unbelievably expensive television commercials. I'm looking forward to the owl pictures. Owls are cool.

He's not planning to watch the game, just the #SuperbOwl commercials.
