@Lyude what are they doing? Are they adding junk to your message?

Wait -- you're telling me that for years I thought the .well-known directory was created by some malware, but it's actually autossl? And protecting myself against this was when my SSL ceased renewing?

It's been a while since I saw the @xtdb @xtdb_com front page, but it's looking great now as I did my first bit of workplace evangelism for the database xtdb.com/ . It has potential for university humanities research projects.

Native apps are intrinsically costly and require justification before they are brought in with security issues, mental and device and internet bandwidth waste, and opaque operation. "install the app!"should never, I repeat NEVER, be the default

@101101000 I switched out my old cat5 for a cat6 this morning, no visible difference. NICS are in a new laptop and phone, so both should have no slowdowns there.

@carbontwelve I feel better, then. That is pretty close to what I am getting via 5ghz

Continuing my quest to get my full fiber-optic speed With my new router my ground-zero (no obstructions, full bars connection) wifi speedtest is 35% of the speed I get when bypassing the router by putting hard line right in to computer. Before the new router it was 15%. Still debugging to figure out what is slowing it down.

I strongly encourage you bring this joy into your own life by coding in a language that encourages use of a repl connected to your app state. I wish someone had told me this years ago

RT @devonzuegel
can't believe I used to code without a repl by my side at all times, what was I thinking???

Just putting my Clojurists Together update together and I realised: THIS IS THE 100th RELEASE OF CONJURE! :O

Within touching distance of 1000 stars on GitHub too!

ClojureScript 1.11.51 out. Lots of goodies ported over from Clojure 1.11 and some internal reworking to avoid some unintended dependency conflicts clojurescript.org/news/2022-05

We're all of two minds about this one. In 10 years, will these prove as nice as they seemed at first bluff? It's hard to know when it's best to diverge from the spec or not, but most of us seem to lean toward "not." 🤔

I may never look at Python the same way again...

@lucifargundam I do hiring of student employees for some of my dev teams. I'm taking notes on some of the rhetorical techniques you're sharing.

Thanks but condolences to not have a bite yet!

Depresssingly, this quote from 1984 is even more true today than it was then.
