@scottjenson Isn't it wonderful that thinking about who runs your instance is even possible with Mastodon? It's always a sad revelation wit Twitter, Facebook; and unknowable/irrelevant with Instagram, Pinterest, Tik Tok, etc
"Elon Musk wants every Twitter employee sending weekly updates about their work via email now"
Elmo's escalating the level of crazy. Or there must be very few people left at Twitter if the CEO can afford to waste time on such trivial and meaningless bullshit.
OTOH, this would be a great use-case for malicious compliance ✌️
@GenghisKen @daviwil You lost me there about tags. Non sequitur?
@daviwil @GenghisKen I've never had a problem with the web interfaces, even on my phone, though. Their only weakness is that they aren't emacs :)
@GenghisKen @daviwil I have heard good things about Tusky. I will have to check it out!
@daviwil I only have four at the moment. That's just more than I usually have :)
@daviwil I'll add it to my list of issues I need to file for various things :)
@daviwil I can't see an easy option for changing your Mastodon account, though. I used a number of accounts for keeping myself focused on Twitter and keep the same practice on Mastodon. Switching is the main reason I use Mastodon in the browser, so I have different accounts in different tabs.
Mastodon is another example of a service that works great in Emacs. I'm posting this from mastodon.el!
@avelino we can already use RSS to follow people on Mastodon (great feature). Ability to write in Zulip-style would complete the experience as making Mastodon a full service/protocol and not just a client-dependent experience.
Is there a good way to post to a #mastodon instance via email?
last week my #orgmode started having severe issues (which is a major work issue), apparently not loading a crucial file. Today I was having problems with my bluetooth headphones, too; connected but not seen as an audio device. Suddenly everything is working again. I don't know why. #GhostsInTheMachine #emacs #guix #bluetooth
@itsburnsie don't delete it! Others can steal the user name and impersonate you.
Well, lets see if they care anymore if I expose this shit on twitter. If you have an account there feel free to show some support:
