last week my #orgmode started having severe issues (which is a major work issue), apparently not loading a crucial file. Today I was having problems with my bluetooth headphones, too; connected but not seen as an audio device. Suddenly everything is working again. I don’t understand why people think Mastodon is difficult. It seems pretty straightforward, and the separate servers are no biggie. I’m enjoying this fresh start here, like moving to a new apartment!

My favorite hashtag is #HugOps and I'm glad it's made the transition to Mastodon.
It's used by engineers to express empathy and support for production engineers battling a system problem.
Engineers often give #HugOps to engineers in other companies, often competitors. It's the exact opposite of schadenfreude.
Right now, #HugOps to the mastohost folks keeping that ship afloat in the face of a huge influx of new usage.
But also #HugOps to the remaining production engineers at Twitter.

Seeing people with coding ability commenting on features they want in Mastodon, many of them framing their insights as if there is a bug.
Almost all ideas I have seen so far could be implemented in a client or a relay. For ones that can't, there are pull requests. For ones that are declined, downstream forking is feasible.
It's #OpenSource & based on a truly open standard, #ActivityPub. How about we frame ideas positively & look for places to contribute? This is not a walled garden run by VCs.

I just connected to a #vsjoyride REPL on @pappapez's computer via @Tailscale with "lein repl :connect <ip>:<nrepl-port> 😅 and controlled his slides for the upcoming presentation at London Clojurians #clojure
Accidentally left my Dvorak keyboard at home, am using my old one. Going back to QWERTY is slow going, especially with my emacs muscle-memory.

As a gnus user and an rss aficionado, this is cool. However, is my experience, elfeed is understandable champion of RSS reading it emacs.
RSS is wonderful if you are a "stalker" (aka "lurker") on social media, but what if you are a Browser or like to join conversation?
