You could always try a indirect approach ask for more information and links to sources to help verify the information.
Eitehr that we ignore the bad journalists and promote / praise those who are doing the right thing, but I guess we need to balance that wit helping the less experienced do a better job.
Everyone has to start somewhere, it is the attitude to improving what and how you do things that should also count.
#RSS seems to be a natural friend of the #fediverse and @danielmiessler's sentiment about it echoes my own:
"I see RSS curation like the practice of cooking one’s own meals. There’s something magical about picking specific ingredients, using custom tools to prepare them, and then consuming the output."
Definitely worth reading his entire article about this:

Sounds good, :) Can we invite Damien on to the Fediverse perhaps ?
@makeratschool @gnome
Ok thanks

Interesting as Debian 11 has version 3.38.0 . I get the following.resolution options.
Time for more digging I guess
A good way to counter mis-information would be to ask for people to back up claims with EVIDENCE. Another way is to provide EVIDENCE to back up statements.
As far as I am aware Wikipedia is NOT considered an academic source of information. No harm in quoting it depends on where you are using that information.
@kirschner My daughter, Ada (7y/o), read the first half of the hardcover edition tonight and she is absolutely loving it! She is excited to write a review of the book when she is done. :)
Hive mind! Can you help us with a question about books and science?
My partner is an English teacher interested in representation in young adult books. Can anyone suggest to us examples of YA/children's books with women who are scientists? Could be something you read as a child, or something you've read to your own child, or anything else...!
Please share widely! We'd really appreciate as many responses as possible.

I have the opposite problem, I am running Debian 11 on my desktop the wifi works fine, if I use wired I get speeds of about 1-6 Mbps (yes you read that right) it is very slow.
@gnome Does anyone know if the Cheese web camp app will be updated to support HD please.
I am asking as it seems it is maintained by the gnome team. I amk also asking as I have a Bresser USB Microscope, which works fine in Cheese, however the microscope supports up to 1080 pictures, but Cheese only goes up to 640x480.
"#Natural" doesn't mean it's safe. Strychnine is natural too.
"No #chemicals" is impossible. Everything in nature is made out of chemical compounds.
"No #poisons". Nearly everything in nature is poisonous. It's the dose that matters. You can be poisoned by water.
"Essential oils" are not essential. It's a pretty bad misnomer.
All these words above and more, are abused by people who reject #science and try to part you from your money by using scare tactics.
