US Democrats are fretting in July about getting a candidate for a November election in respect of taking office in January.

We would have had five Conservative Prime Ministers in the same time period.

If you're feeling doom and gloom about Biden withdrawing, go look at the feeds of your horrible MAGA family members. They are despondent and have no idea what to do. What, talk about cognitive decline? Abortion? Windmill cancer? Electric sharks?

Even without a new presumptive candidate, I am already feeling so much better about November. Like a weight has been lifted.

Let's hope the party can pull its head out of its ass and rally behind .

@peterdrake That would be my guess. The diagonal girders looks like they have breakaway welds.

@dalfen Where is this narrative coming from?

Most dems I know, grassroots everyday people, thought Joe should drop out since his disastrous debate performance.

But in the past couple days, it's suddenly become a "blame the billionaires" issue among the hashtag users.

@overstrike @Beeks @Kraemer_HB @noksucow @MylesRyden @jeffjarvis Right, so somebody's being disenfranchised no matter what (especially when you consider how badly they hid Biden's condition from the party members that did get a primary vote), which is exactly why disenfranchisement doesn't work as supporting evidence in favor of either argument.

@troy_frizzell Nope, I'm just saying we need someone who is still physically capable of campaigning and getting people excited to vote for them.

No magic needed. Joe just needs to stand aside and let his running mate take the top of the ticket.

@tayfonay Yeah, that's messed up then. I could understand the fee as a "hosting cost" for open access if they allowed you to openly publish elsewhere, but since they don't, it's just straight-up extortion.

@troy_frizzell (And, yes, when you disenfranchise people, don't be surprised when they DGAF what the franchise chooses.)

@troy_frizzell Funny, I'm a "vote blue no matter who" proponent and you're telling people to vote against Biden.

Who was it that cared more about defeating fascism?

@troy_frizzell I never got a vote. Why should I care about yours?

And, no, running a guy who can't make it all the way through a sentence is how you hand the election to fascists.

@dave @jeffjarvis Yep. I donated last cycle, and the spam taught me a valuable lesson about why I shouldn't do that. I won't make that mistake again. If they want my money, they need to respect my privacy. Haven't donated this cycle for that reason and I've received much less spam so far.

I'm thinking maybe a month before the election, I'll make a list of every dem candidate who hasn't spammed me and send them a paper check in the snail mail.

@troy_frizzell How sure about that are you?

Because the democratic party in my state cancelled the primaries and just ran Biden. I never got a chance to vote for the nominee. They never heard my voice. Instead, they hid Biden's weaknesses and said he was soooo articulate behind closed doors.

Once he was let back out into the open, we were able to see for ourselves that Biden doesn't have what it takes to campaign for the next four months and GOTV in the middle. We need someone with stamina, who isn't a gaffe machine, to defeat the existential threat we face.

@ERBeckman It sounds like the only point in favor of mass shooting was that he googled Crumbley beforehand.

But, given that this shooter used his father's rifle, and Crumbley's parents went to prison for letting him use their rifle, the stronger connection in my mind was that this shooter wanted to know more about where his liability ended and his parents' began. Maybe he just didn't want them to take the fall for what he was about to do.

@troy_frizzell So, you've totally ruled out the possibility that they're doing what they think is right to win the election, a strategy that many of their constituents agree with?

@carnage4life Both of them tell me "the person sending you email uses default settings for everything."

@rlamacraft Uh, no, the lesson is that we shouldn't have such a concentrated market. No one vendor should cover so much of the market at any given time.

@linkingdot That has literally nothing to do with the totally different company that caused yesterday's problems.
