@chikara Ah, thank you. It is ok if you made a mistake and recognize it, and try to move on. We are all learning all the time, or else life is not interesting.

The way to edit an already posted Status is via the Delete and Redraft button.

You are welcome, the credit goes to @binsrc , who found the easy way to do it - snapshot on a post right above here.

Have fun! 😄
@khird

Part of my logic goes to a recent discussion we are having, now moved to QOTO's Discourse Forums site. discourse.qoto.org/t/nov-2019-

QOTO is primarily English language, and posts in foreign languages strain the moderation team, who might not speak them.

I fully understand the Fun of practicing our native languages, or practicing a new one you are just learning, but an instance located in a country where the language is currently spoken will have a lot more content, and friendly users to chat to.

Like it shows, on this snapshot -- a Brazilian user defining Fediverse:

"It's a Twitter without Nazis, and apparently I would have a beer with everyone." 😉 🍻

Found a site that could help people speaking different languages (Portuguese, Spanish, French, etc) locate an instance that has users and posts in their language.

Could be handy!

There are Brazilian and Portuguese speaking system admins posting helpful tips in portuguese - a nice resource. See

@teknonomicon Fit people, as food will be much more scarce and you have to work hard for it, i can see fitness being a side benefit. 🙊

@teknonomicon I love this type of stories. You never know, getting used to the idea of what it could be like helps adapt if SHTF.

@teknonomicon Have you read or heard about "The World made by Hand", by James H Kunstler?

Great reading, loved the series, waited for the next installment as he was writing it.

@Sphinx Looking good! I like experimenting and learning too.

Editing required on the Why QOTO lines: where is says "...and more than 700 Hundred emojis."

== 700 00 or 70 thousand emoji. Wow, please not.

I'm using the basic HTML that I learn, made this simple introduction for , for encouragement for myself and welcome boost :blobsmilehappyeyes:

Yes, certainly. It's very simple, fine powedered bud matter, spread in a plate and add olive oil to cover it, stir. Let rest as long as you can resist urge to experiment. 😛

The Zatar adds nice spicy tones and makes it palatable. I will post a complete recipe and some info on Zatar to complement. Maybe you can bridge it over to Reddit to see their responses. 😉

Some really appetizing photos of zatar and things to eat along with it on Bing: bing.com/images/search?q=zatar

@salad_bar_breath

LOL, thank you. Worked for sure, and no weird smells around the house or on the clothing.

Was thinking that a mortar and pestle would be good to break bud into real fine ground matter. First doing it dry, then adding the oil and remashing with pestle a bit more.

The one I have is marble, and porous, not good with oil going into it. Glass, or maybe a bronze, old time style like the apothecaries used to use.

I will try a mortared powder if I can, and let it rest for a day infusing with the oil for the next experiment.

@freemo

@SecondJon It's pretty bleak in Winter at the northern latitudes. Here in Canada as well.

Everyone gets affected by that, mood changes, it's tough.

@realcaseyrollins Living dangerously, I see, lol.

Good that it all worked out. I get very tense when there's air travel and getting there or else...

Re: Repeated posts

Am I missing something, because it looks to me like these two are identical. If you decide to edit a new post, removing and editing, then re-tooting it is the proper way to go.

It's confusing when we have duplicated threads, @chikara

repeated posts:

@chikara

I managed to create a similar link to your post, this one, by copying the webstatus URL we normally get (shown in the browser location bar) and manually editing it.

"https ://qoto.org/@chikara/103211688972278474"

was "https ://qoto.org/web/statuses/103211688972278474" (spaces inserted to keep URL visible)
