@salad_bar_breath En verdad es mas que 1/6 de las reservas, me parece. El artigo de CommonDremas que hás postado dice:

"The Morales move on Nov. 4 to cancel the December 2018 agreement with Germany's ACI Systems Alemania (ACISA) came after weeks of protests from residents of the Potosí area. The region has 50% to 70% of the world's lithium reserves in the Salar de Uyuni salt flats."

"La region tiene de 50 a 70 por ciento de todas las reservas mundiales de Litio en al Salar de Uyuni."

Gracias por la información!

BREAKING: a federal judge has ruled that suspicionless searches of travelers’ cell phones, laptops, and other electronic devices when we cross the U.S. border are unconstitutional.

This is an enormous victory for privacy. eff.org/press/releases/federal

@yantrajaal I found that word quite odd, but looking at it like that it makes sense, no? 😃

@iamo That can end up in a lot of people getting hurt, as the State has the force and means to hurt people into submission, or at least try. 😔

@iamo Yes, it's a very worrisome situation. Bolivia is a poor country, landlocked and now with a vacuum at the very top. The Lithium deposits are huge and very valuable, an essential material for reachargeable batteries for all kinds of electronics and vehicles. That is a strategic resource.

Neighbouring Chile has huge protests and discontent on the streets too, reacting to massie inequality on income distribution there.

@yantrajaal Awesome, Yantrajal. I remembered I mention to someone (probably you) that Tusky is the original, and Musky a fork or derivative (due to 'censorship' as per a note I read).

Found out the meaning of that -- it's that Musky does not block Gab.com, a domain that Tusky does not support connections to.

I am just trying out a new client too, Whalebird for Windows, and it's quite nice. Very customizable.

@SeanAloysiusOBrien @Gargron Adding a star to Mal's post as a like. That's what I imagine people do too.

Maybe leave the Star as currently, and you could have another icon for a bookmark, new feature.

@whirli @arteteco No one mentioned or suggested Mozart? 😞

I love his music, and specially the wind instrument pieces. Here's one.

@Full_marx It much more difficult than higher level programming languages, but produces much faster running programs.

Used to be a major advantage when we had less processing power, memory and other resources to waste. Nowadays, unfortunatelly, bloat is more common and feeds the eternal upgrading cycle.

@DissidentKitty@radical.town @requrious@mastodon.social

...and with that little reference, you got my curiosity, and I discovered the wonderful page about Lilith at Wikipedia. Thank you! :thumbsup_hmn_g1:

@Mainebot@octodon.social That's ideal, easier and faster if you don't have to start over again once you realize there's greener pastures somewhere else.

I am a new user, and am also happy with my choice of instance; totally based on the accurate description I found in the "find an instance" web page.

RTFM, as we used to say, it's always good. 😃

It's so beautiful to see masses of people switch to Mastodon / the fediverse. Big hope feels.
