An interview where I answer some questions over the phone for a reporter with newsday. I was 17 at the time, nad had been in college for about 2 years and started my own company and software project that had exploded. I was on national news at the time like fortune magazine and front page of USA today, even had a bunch of TV interviews.
Reason I wanted to share this one is it is one of the few surviving interviews where I actually answer questions back and forth:

plot twist: The experiment was a success. I literally went back in time to write that post just so I could look smart in the future (now) :)
An old post I made in a forum back in 1999 when I was 15 years old trying to figure out how special relativity worked... It is interesting coming across old gems of my childhood on the internet.
@lucifargundam I would never want to work anywhere that would have me as an employee! I have higher standards than that!
@khird The other thing is that the low capacity fuel thing isnt effective, thats kinda the point, neither are low capacity magazines :)
@khird Or we could just recognize the obsurdity of such thinking, make guns and cars legal, and then just arrest people who use them incorrectly.
@noelle I am not 100% convinced that loaf of bread is not also a cat.
@noelle Ditching a catheter sounds like it would be an amazing improvement to your mental healthy honestly. I do hope you can get to that point sooner rather than later.
@khird im not sure a kinetic energy cap is fitting. The energy per bullet is the same you just have fewer bullet sso you have to reload more.
Also, like extending your cars gas tank capacity it is absurdly trivial to build your own high capacity magazines, so it wont really do a damn thing to prevent criminals anyway.
@noelle I usually get a bit worried when a person gets disapointed they cant cut holes into me.... but maybe thats just me.
Good luck on your surgery when you do get around to it. I'll be rooting for you.
@abloo because the code that displayed the useful information would cause its own blue screen when it crashed generating the blue screen.. microsoft cant write more than a single line of code without it crashing half the time.
@hector I'm as much a supporter of free speech as the next guy, as long as they just keep their mouth shut :)
Praise be father freemo, the holy redeemer and keeper of his flock.
@khird Id love to see SUVs and all cars replaced with more fuel efficient or electric versions.I will just never pass up an opprtunity to mock something :)
Praise be father freemo, the holy redeemer and keeper of his flock.
I was thinking hard about what point or takeaway i wanted to give everyone as we all celebrate Men's Day. I think on days like this its good to do two things: celebrate the good things, and also be more aware of ways in which men can be the target of sexism, regardless of how that might compare to the oppression of women which is a topic for the other days out of the year.
I think one of the most important examples of sexism against men is the way they are treated when seeking help as the victim of physical or sexual abuse. In the vast majority of cases they are either turned away or appalingly often accused of being the abuser themselves if you can beleive that. The problem is massively common as the graph below shows.
Im not sure what we should do about it but i am sure we shoukd be aware of it.
