Im familiar with aardwolf. What i am talking about is a bit different. There is no guinclient to download but has a text based gui through telnet itself. So you literally just telnet in and get a gui for free, no download.

Got another 2-3 hours of practice diving in the pool in. Mostly practiced getting my bcd on and off and then tested what weights id need on an empty tank. I finally feel comfortable enough to do a real dive in the ocean so i scheduled one for tomorrow.

My end goal is to do the 70 meter diver at the blue hole in 5 weeks, but this first dive will be an easy shore rec dive at 25 meters with 32% nitrox and some doubles. Will be my first real dive since my spina cord injury and ive been out of the water for so long im a bit nervous, but all my skills were spot on on the pool so im sure ill be fine.

Study hard what interests you the most in the most undisciplined, irreverent and original manner possible.

I would say thats not slavery unless there is price fixing involved. You can say its u fair, thats a valid debate, but not slavery.

Attached you will see a picture of a transformer which could represent a substation. Notice how all the grounds are electrically connected and they even add an additional bonding wire (this is because neutral can be disconnected via fuse and you dont want this to disconnect your bonding).

@Science

@robryk

Grounding via water mains is no longer up to code. You must use a ground rod these days. They are bonded through a physical wire.
@Science

@robryk
Yes even substations have their grounds bonded. All neutrals everywhere have groubd rods every few poles and are bonded across substations. Grounds are always bonded.
@Science

@robryk
Physical earth groubds according to electrical code must always be bonded, as in electrically connected. Across buildings this occurs through the neutral line. So their electrical connection is not limited through the earth but are also connected through a wire.
@Science

@robryka

I mistyped.

Why do you think a ground loop would occur when spanning buildings? The neutral line in a power line is grounded at many points in each building, usually this doesnt cause a problem.

Yes the safety issue largely has to do with shorts to the shield.

@Science

@robryk
Not having a grounded shield is also a bit of a safety hazard. 10 ohm resistor between shield and ground seems odd to me.

Everything about this post is factually incorrect.

For starters wealth is not equivelant to planetary resources nor is the quantity of all resources fixed. For example if i buy a farm and breed cows im increasing the number of cows and therefore creating wealth/resources that didnt exist before. Further i might be a seller of farm tech and invented and sold some technology that enables a person to support more cows on less land. Wealth creation is not and has never been directly dictated by the quantity of resources as if it were a fixed value

Second the idea that most of the rich come from affluent backgrounds is factually false. The majority of the rich, in fact, come from poor and middle class homes, ive cited several sources on my page proving this in the past.

The reason the rich dont destroy world poverty is several reasons, one is that wealth can be destroyed just as it can be created. So if they truly dumped all their monry into the poor, since these people are for the most part people with bad monry habits, it would destroy most of the worlds wealth and put us all in poverty. Second, there wouldnt be even close to enough money to solve the problem long term anyway, at best it would fix the problem for a short time. The only way to fix the problem is to get the poor to have good money habits so thry become wealth generators rather than wealth destroyers, this is a complex problem to fix.

@cosas
You have been nothing but respectful, i would have no reason to be uncivil just because we disagree on something.

Its not so much that its idealism, its more about it fundamental not working because it is naive to how money and wealth works as well as human nature. Usually i find communists fail to understand that wealth is not some fixed quantity of money where someone being rich and having alot means others have less. In reality wealth is constantly being generated and destroyed and much of the wealth rich people have is wealth they created in the first place. Eliminate the rich and you eliminate wealth for the whole of society. This why every time you attempt communism the result is the same, an extremely poor nation with everyone starving to death and very little progress.

@cosas
Ahh the good old "no true scotsman" fallacy. You will never have true communism how you idealize it to be because it simply can not exist. All you will ever get is the horrible human rights disaster we get everytime a nation attempts communism.

The rich are rich because they created their wealth through expiernce, knowledge, and hard work. There is a reason the majority of billionaires in the world started as middle class and lower and are self made. As for everyone else, no mot everyone is lazy, some make bad decisions, some dont even want to be rich, there are many reasons.

@cosas
Slavery isnt capitalism, in fact that would be the opposite of capitalism. Capitalism includes the freedom to own and sell your own labour in a free market. Slavery is therefore anti-capitalism.
@louisrcouture

@cosas

Capitalism os simply the natural default. It is where people have freedom to engage with others in trade where both parties are free to negotiate and arrive at a mutually agreed price. Its the only system that allows me or anyone to jave fundamental freedom over what we have created or traded for ourselves.

We dont have to cling to it, it is what naturally occurs when no one else is trying to create a system where people are robbed of their own creations or property.

@louisrcouture

@cosas
I disagree, that is what pro communist/socialists think it will cause, but in reality that does not describe it at all.

@freeschool
Im in egypt right now. Ill get to some internet and check it out tomorrow and fix it if its down
@QOTO @QOTO@groups.qoto.org

@freemo @trinsec I think that's just a symptom of mild decompression sickness and/or the stress from adjusting the partial pressures of the different dissolved gasses in your blood which can inhibit oxygen metabolism. I wouldn't expect just pressurizing and depressurizing to actually increase metabolism by any appreciable margin, though I could be wrong.

@johnabs
Well yes it is exactly that, the stresses of off gasing. Its just a question of if that stress burns calories, and it may not i dont know.

If it did burn calories then pressurising and depressurizing would too as that is ultimately what causes you to on gas. Pressurize someone to 100 meter depth, wait 15 minutes, the. Slowly depressurize. Do it once a day and youre golden.
