@sandofsky Its also possible that mastodon users are more likely to engage in posts that show mastodon as superior whereas twitter accounts are likely to not care and ignore it... This doesnt neccesarly demonstrate how frequently a post is seen.
That said it does show, and my expiernce agrees, that you get far more engagement on the fedi.

@SpinozasHeresy conspiracy theory content has been the norm on the history channel for years now.
Apparently now people are sending death threats to UFoI members... all this does is reafirm to me the dire need for sonethi g like the UFoI
If they really recognized their error I'd expect it wouldnt have been a silence.. but it is improvement at least.

@ambihelical considering the huge blocklist hackyderm has I wouldnt feel too secure about federating with them in the future from any instance personally.
@ambihelical s like they are just doing it to steal users away, which I really dont mind, if users want to leave they are free to do so… But it does sound like they will just reinstate it in 3 months or less.

In this case its worse because its the whole of the fediverse, meaning it isnt even politically motivated, its just used to silence another entity out of existance (or at least trying to)
I'ce seen examples, which I've personally confirmed and seen, of twitter blocking any mentioned of mastodon... that alone is pretty extreme censorship, way more so than most things
well free speech doesnt extend to libel/slander. So legally speaking that would be a disaster
Based on some examples i saw of posts about mastodon getting censored I tend to agree with you, he isnt free speech

I think a lot of portugese cuisine is under valued.. their food is damn amazing but you never really hear much abou it....
No we shouldnt, but thats not what he is (yet)... As far as I know he has never called for genocide, he doesnt wield a swastika, I am not even aware of any cases of him vocalizing hate speech of any kind... What he has done is show some level of support for trump, which is pretty damning, and some right wing stuff... That alone is not enough to get flagged a Nazi IMO.. misguided sure, but a Nazi is a stretch.
I'm not sure I'd go so far as to call him aNazi, thats a strong term... but he seems to be headed in that general direction perhaps.
