If you live in a city, especially #Philadelphia I highly recommend you check out Mercato as a delivery service. They focus on delivery from lots of smaller mom and pop stores for groceries (something absent from many delivery apps). Its great they deliver from all the really nice mom and pop stores, including some really high end ones like the Italian Market and Reading Terminal.
I used them for a year before i left for my trip and now that im back im using them again!

For some reason I was having stability issues on my old Arch Linux install. Now that I've switched back to NixOS everything is running perfectly again!
Interesting fact of the day... single cellular organisms have "Molecular Motors" in them.. basically the quantum mechanical equivalent of a mechanical motor... They are surprisingly similar in appearance and are just super cool!

@freemo @niclas Not a lot of current papers on the topic, but some papers have reported up to 40% effect by the sun's activity. The problem with this is it looks like that number doesn't take into account the 'solar constant' which has been changing since 1978, when we started to really study that number. THAT number has been FALLING, which would drive massive global cooling. So, unless the human factors are WAY more than measured, that claim is highly doubtful.
Now that I got home after 2 years I was using my old computer witht he old OS on it, ArchLinux. I updated it, it was working fine and Arch is a fine platform... But I missed the NixOS setup I had moved to (and still had on my laptop)... Lastnight i moved back over to NixOS and I really couldnt be happier... this is the best linux distro I ever used! I love how every time you upgrade it produces a "clean" system of dependencies like a new install!
Another cool feature is stylix. Its something that is only really easy to do on NixOS. Its a module you load as part of the package configuration and it styles your whole system for you. Sets the same background in all your windows managers, and sets the same color scheme across all your apps, and even the boot loader and console... its pretty sweet!

APros and cons for cooking the whole pack of bacon at once:
Pros:
- you only have to cook once
- fewer pots to clean
- enough bacon ready for multiple meals
- low carb quick snack at hand
Cons:
- you will eat a whole pack of bacon in one sitting.

@freemo @weezmgk , watching this stuff makes me excited. And there is so much out there in the world to watch. Not just this, but new tech, ants, art.... everything. Even the new heat wave is exciting....
There was a Star Trek episode where Spock hears the last dying thoughts of 1000 vulcans... and they all thought "Fascinating". Ya, this is just sunspots, and might cause static in a Hulu download, but it is all fascinating. I hope that is my last thought.

Busy night on the air weapons range - tracer fire from a helicopter, probably a Wildcat. The regular dots are the navigation lights on the helicopter as it circles, the streaks are the tracer fire and ricochets from the ground (target is a dummy compound made from shipping containers).
